I wanted to do something more thematic with Scarlett drawing like a old magazine cover or ad, but then I remembered that that the movie takes place in 1866 and we only discovered sex in 1920s.

@nprofile…ff7f @nprofile…sw03 That's what I mean. Steamboy is still one of the most expensive anime films ever produced even to this day and most people haven't seen it. I hope more people take the time to watch it.

@nprofile…sw03 every time I tell people that the director of Akira made a huge, expensive steampunk movie in the early 2000s that no one knows about, they look at me like I'm crazy

@nprofile…qnd8 You really must. It's from the director of Akira. Incredibly expensive to make, but an insanely detailed movie. He wanted to make a film in the style of Western adventures.
Scarlett's voice actress in English in great and she steals every scene she's in.

@nprofile…92ww In fact, I think that was exactly what was bothering me about it, but I'd been looking at it too long to realize. Thanks for the note.

@nprofile…92ww Well, originally, I had drawn her face larger and then when I cut it down, the proportions were a bit different. Guess I didn't really notice while making all the edits.

@nprofile…l08m Since there is no 'e' at the end. It would be pronounced with like Baraage, but the final g uses the hard sound. Like in gum or golf.

A few months ago, I put together some tools and methodology for a friend to make a fan-translation of the old Lolicon hospital VN, Itsuka Furu Yuki, but he recently hit an arbitrary limitation with the Japanese scripting engine that I looked over and can't be overcome. I'm annoyed because he got pretty far and I was hoping a translation would encourage people to play it.
Maybe it's not necessary. Translation software like Luna Translate and local translation models have gotten pretty intuitive.

I'm glad that Mars Express is getting victory lap in Japan right now with all the attention it deserves. It certainly got more fanfare and advertising in Japan than in the states because they actually appreciate adult animation.
One of my favorite designs from the movie is the movie is the gold plated sex robot that you only see for a few scenes. I'd love to draw it.

Most people don't know that the artist of Ajin, Gamon Sakurai makes really good lolicon doujins under his G-10 moniker. I was surprised when he came back last year and made a doujin for COMIC Mate.

@nprofile…2vdv It was okay. The stuff after the time skip that never happened sounded way more interesting than what we got. Lion-o and Wilykit supposedly getting together would've been interesting to see if they finished it. That reminds me. I should remake this drawing though.

Trying CSPs new auto-shade feature. After a bit of playing, it's not AI based, so I'm guessing it uses the technique of wrapping the image around a complex shape like a sphere and then shining a light on a specific part, then simplifies using a shader or script.
It's interesting though. The script is much better than what I've seen before and it takes line art seperations into account excellently. With a bit of touching up, I think this looks really good.
