My retirement community thanks you.
Several ladies here, especially N and D, enjoy the leaping photos of Summer. Yesterday's dancing was the highlight of the day!
Most of us use rollators, and/or scooters, so imagining a beachside walk and watching a dog run with pure joy and smiles all around brightens out day.
I miss the beach.
I doubt I will ever see it again.
It is at least a ten hour drive (minus food, sleep, med, and potty breaks.)
Seeing Summer's photos are the highlight of our day. A bit of happiness somewhere.
Of course, we can always look back if you don't have time on a day.

You can tell her, Mel thinks he would like all her excitement, until he remembers he doesn't run anymore, and is afraid of water.
Mel laying on bed surrounded by toys is more his speed. With a few short walks, and lots of pettings and admiring.

I understand that.
Lists have helped me. As has filtering out political terms.
I am not sure if you have noticed, a bit of joy for me has been a few items posting as published this month. I have another publishing next week. You are welcome to check out my website, or sign up for my blog for updates.

I understand.
I feel the same way.
What is being left for those who come after us is more toxic than even I dared write about.
I wish it weren't so.

And how much art that has been created by disabled artists over the last 1,000 years would be tagged AI today.
Anything that is colorful, fantasy, fun, and doesn’t look like a photograph. Even “The Scream.”

Thanks, I have been using Apple for over a decade. I am sure this will help someone else. I'll bookmark it.

I really don't have much time for even Mastodon these days.
Some people keep talking about #RSS feeds.
I know FireFox had one years ago. It quit working.
I tried to download one for FireFox, the LiveMarks recommended one.
I couldn't figure out how to use it. All the links I tried to add gave an error: no XML data (https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/125326297).
I can only guess it means no data. No idea what XML is. However, on the WordPress site, I can see posts.
I tried to add links from the WordPress group that are just RSS feeds. Which I never log in to WordPress to check.
I don't have the time, or password memory to login and try to figure it out.
Does anyone have directions on how to use a RSS feed?
I just remember it as a drop down with names.
It needs to be simple, no logins. No extra techy steps.
It is supposed to be a way to keep in contact with people.
I can't figure it out.
Maybe it is only meant for super techy people, and not the average person.

@npub1ajk…w4xz
Trying to figure out the RSS thing.
I downloaded the LiveMarks thing on FireFox to try use it's RSS feed.
No idea how to get it to work.
I have some RSS feeds on WordPress, but I have to login to use it, and don't have time, password, or energy on the average day.
I have no idea how to get one to work.
So, I copied the link in the WordPress RSS thing, and when pasted into the link spot on LiveMarks - It gives an error.
Error: no XML data (https://wordpress.com/read/feeds/125326297)
I have no idea what the error is.
Someone pasted a link to a site that listed some RSS feeds, but they forgot to include instructions on how to use one once you download it.

Your cooking inspires me. I wish I could still cook. I always enjoyed cooking for others.
I never had family cook for me. I am sure that would be wonderful. And comforting.

This post is about children.
However, for adults, certainly, they don't have time to read.
Once I finished college, I was working nearly every waking moment, paid, or unpaid, for years, until my disabilities multiplied until I could no longer work.
I even had to relearn to read as brain damage, and loss of vision affected my ability to read and comprehend written.
Maybe kids see that in the adults around them, and don't want to build a connection to something they will lose once they start working every waking moment.

I understand.
Hubby's first retinal detachment, he waited to long to see the eye doctor. A week. They sent him to s specialist. Who thought it was just a broken blood vessel in his eye.
Two weeks later he was back, and they did surgery. The worst great retinal tear they had ever seen. And wasn't visible because of the blood.
He never regained his only six month old 20/20 vision in that eye! His cataract surgery six months before had given him better vision than he had had in his life.
Four months, later, the other retina detached. On the same road. Across the railroad tracks, on the way to work.
By the time he got to work, he had no vision.
That surgery was on Monday, only three days later.
The surgeon felt confidant waiting that long. And except for a tiny corner of vision, that eye fully healed.

I am glad Summer handles changes well. Our poor Mel doesn’t.
She seems such a sweetie.
And her leaping photos always cheer me.

Found a new way #WebDesigners are blocking #Accessibility.
Because I am legally #Blind, with less than 10 degrees of vision, I cannot visually solve #Captchas
Because I am mostly #Deaf, I cannot solve vocal Captchas.
Therefore, I added block and solve Captchas extensions to my browser.
On three major sites - I could no longer access, as they had added Captchas that bypassed the blockers!
FaceBook, Amazon, and Submittable do not allow Captcha blockers.
So, I had not been able to access those sites at all for a while.
When I found Submittable blocking me today, for the first time, I decided to turn off the Captcha blockers, as they obviously aren't working.
Instantly, Amazon and Submittable are working.
I haven't tried FaceBook.
#CaptchaBlockers are and #Accessibility need for blind, deaf, #DeafBlind, and multiple other disabilities. It is Disability Discrimination for sites to block Accessibility Access helpers.
I shouldn't need a sighted and hearing person, likely a stranger, to be given my login information, username and password, to log me into every site I need to go to every day!
#Tech people, please respect people with disabilities. Disable and Remove Captchas. Disable and Remove Block the Block Captchas extensions.
I wasted a lot of hours trying to figure out why suddenly I could not login to sites.
Hours because some tech people decided to break and block accessibility for a DeafBlind #Author!

I am sure that varies.
For me, what is it similar in shape to and size to?
Is it like a ball, the size of a basketball?
Some things are simply not really describable without a 3 D model. Those are very difficult to have an alt text description for.
I think I once saw a science alt text guide, for situations like this, I don't think I saved the link.
I still have some vision and hearing. So I can still relate items to things I remember seeing and hearing.
Those totally deafblind from birth will have different experiences, needs, and wants.

Has anyone here used the Apple Air Pods as hearing aids?
Does it work with reverse slope hearing loss?
I can hear high tones reasonably, and do not need them increased. Only low tones.
Even with my hearing aids, I have trouble hearing my husband and soft speaking people. They seem to mumble the important words in their sentences.
However, due to the scream singing chef, I can no longer wear my hearing aids to breakfast and lunch, unless I want bloody ears. And another resident has decided I want to hear her daughter screaming full blast, via speaker phone, in the dinner line.
I am tired of the pain.
My hearing aid person will be here next Wednesday.
My hearing aids were doing well until the screeching dog moved onto our hallway. Even though he is some better, high pitches seem to be intensified, no matter what, even with them turned down as much as I can via the phone app.
