Hi @npub1773…eh9a,
wanted to give #slackware a try on a #ThinkPad T460 yesterday, but failed like a noob already getting the ISO to flash from https://mirrors.slackware.com/slackware/slackware-iso/. Which should I pick? Torrent preferred. Thanks!
Edit: ftp://ftp.tu-chemnitz.de/pub/linux/slackware/slackware-iso/slackware64-15.0-iso/slackware64-15.0-install-dvd.iso.txt looks promising. Should I curl that iso?

wondering if #lua is a good choice for long-term, low-maintenance, lightweight #CGI for #convivial #web-development? Downside is, shared web hosters rarely offer it and I'm not aware of a static Linux amd64 binary.

avoid both. I genuinely believe commons require locality in one sense or the other. They won't span further than the social contract of well-behavedness.

Hi @npub1xse…lgk3,
that's the social. subdomain, not the domain in your address. Such is not covered by #rfc7033 or any other rfc or w3c standard to the best of my knowledge. Make a http redirect and things work based on rfc/w3c standards.

Dear @npub1xse…lgk3,
I don't share the negativity and fatalism, your insults make me sad. The #billionaire #platforms aren't the #commons. They may do what they are to do. Build community scale places instead and put your things there, meet there. Federate. Don't force me to go to the billionaires to see your message. Fire up a #peertube or find a friend that did. Leave the ad & surveillance business models rather than hiding the ads. You can do it. Every step you make, makes the same easier for others. And if you can, you should.
(And citing Gil Scott Heron is due to the fact you may not be familiar with Fredl Fesl, Oskar Maria Graf, Herbert Achternbusch or the Biermösl Blosn)

Hi @npub1xse…lgk3,
IMO that's the wrong question. Let youtube do what youtube wants to do, they're not the commons. Let's ask ourself how we want to watch videos and reimburse the creators and their infrastructure.. And discovery. I resist to ads and surveillance (= stalking) being the only answer.
