Phosphenes

How do you mean?
I just sorted a YT video list by age right now.

I improved efficiency by removing the 'Tell everyone' step.
Also the embarassment.

Mullvad wants us to believe in a firewall between their CEO's personal beliefs and their business.
The problem is that fascism does not respect any such firewall. All such people we have seen this century act as if laws and boundaries do not exist for them.

I've also heard that IPv6 makes home hosting easier, but ISPs are very lazy about supporting it.
Big platforms like Facebook and AWS benefit from the scarcity of addresses of IPv4, and the paranoid me suspects they are in on it.
Also suspicious that ISPs will cancel your account or charge exorbitant rates if you try hosting from home, even if traffic is tiny.

That last touch reminds me of The French Lieutenant's Woman.
One minute you see cameras and actors hustling around, and then without missing a beat they're in character and you're watching a different movie in a different century in the same shot.

That is weird. Both 'how did they do that?' and "why did they do that?'.
Your theory of vectorization may be right. It'd be easy to say 'AI did it' but that's unlikely and a lazy explanation.
As for why, is Archive.org running out of space? What's the point? 🤔

Trying to find a picture of this interesting mechanism but getting a lot of chaff. Do you have any image links?

Can you name some examples? Wondering if I've seen the films in question.

Reminds me of A Logic Named Joe, by Murray Leinster. 1946 story about pretty much exactly this.

Oh we are suspecting surgical intervention. What a shame, she started as a somewhat likeable dork, and a needed representation of women in physics. She has chosen the influencer spiral over credibility.

Oh yeah, I think I started to smell that before I stopped watching her.
I could relate to her frustration with academia but it pushed her into the Elon Zone, which required some MAJOR blind spots.
Did she go to some new depth with this Empty Space video or are we just savoring our acrid memories of her?

Why is this interesting? Legit question, I haven't watched her show in a long time.

If you connect the inner and outer meshes to a known DC power supply, what does the meter say? Does it consistently add voltage or does the problem go away?

Does approaching from a different side give different results? Maybe capacitance of the probe wires is an issue.

MAGA has been begging to release the Epstein files with the assumption it's all about the Democrats. They were really pissed when Patel declared it a suicide.
I don't think they've ever been open to the truth, and won't like it now.

It's not a shock to anyone here, but if Musk fanboys split with Trump it's going to be a right wing civil war.

Now wondering if this has a back story.
Like, hush puppies were allegedly to satisfy begging dogs.
So 'take a bit off this gentleman' sounds like an entreaty to a hesitant customer.
'It's only wafer thin.'

You're right but the job is much bigger than that.
The liar isn't just Trump, who is weak and stupid, but a whole right-wing media industry built up over decades.
We might succeed at de-Trumping American discourse, but Newsmax, OAN, Fox News et al. will only erect a new idol and direct their followers to worship that next.
This won't be over until their whole brand is poison to every level of society. That can happen, but it's gonna hurt.

I love that kind of thing. Gotham was always film noir.
I had a reprint of Batman from the actual 1930s-40s and was surprised how much it began as more of a detective series than a superhero slugfest.

I wonder if there's any value in radar chaff. Bots who overload the net with the candy the AI is looking for to massively waste their time.
There's a danger that real people would take the bots too seriously, but the history of FBI searches suggests they are easily baited by obviously stupid leads.

Just to make things more confusing, digital is a subset of analog. You can build a digital computer from analog parts but not a true analog computer from digital parts.

The problem with fascism isn't the fascists. There aren't enough of them to swing most elections.
The problem with fascism is all the normal people who don't believe it will hurt them.
At this point our descent will not stop until every citizen has personally drunk the Drano and felt the pain.
Our fascism is no longer a political problem, it is now a cultural problem. The only cure left is experiencing the disease itself.
That's bad, but eternal sickness without cure will be worse.
