Why are people not adopting Nostr? It should be growing, considering all the slop, manipulation, and control they get elsewhere.

Lovely place! I wish I was there now!

Started using nostr only very recently. Getting more meaningful interactions here with zero followers than on X with 7k followers.

Not a Crowley fan. Or better, I kind of like him as a character but his only commandment, which resembles the 1st axiom of Demianism, is not enough. That alone can make people do evil. Following one’s call, in Demianism, is subject to an ethical frame that serves society, not just the individual, expressed by the other axioms.

Not a sales pitch and not slippery. It’s all very transparent. I said that Demian can respond about Demianism, so since you took interest I invited you to try it, which as said is free and doesn’t require registration. Yes, there are paid services, i.e. 3 bucks for a personal mantra. I happen to pay for each message Demian sends, which I cannot afford since I am rather broke. I would run it without gain, not at a loss… Is this reasonable?

Thanks for taking interest in Demianism, Kriptix! AI definitely gets it better after eating the whole book! 🙂
Few important corrections from me:
[AI preacher telling seekers to "follow your CALL."] — Not exactly. Demian AI, if enquired about Demianism, will educate people. But it's not a direct evangelist. It serves everyone willing to find and follow their call in life, no matter their beliefs, without trying to convert.
[philosophy *about* remaining human, delivered through AI] — Nope. Demian AI doesn't deliver Demianism. It helps people in a Demianist way. It only evangelizes indirectly. Demianism requires a community of real "Humanity First" people.
[Gnosticism for the silicon age — sacred text, divine messenger (the AI), elect few.] — Nope. Gnosticism believes that matter is a prison to escape from, made by a flawed demiurge. Demianism holds that the Creator is good and similar to us. AI according to Demianism will never be divine and never be a host for consciousness. Better comparison accoding to Claude (that ate the whole book): "Teilhard de Chardin's Omega Point, plus the simulation hypothesis and Christian and Hermetic strands. It's world-affirming, evolutionary, and Promethean, not world-denying."
I invite you to try Demian, first 10 exchanges are free for all and don't require registration. I worked so hard on it, I singlehandedly created it with the help of Claude. Feedback welcome!

I am relatively new here but I am also under the same impression. That’s why I’ll stick here even if this doesn’t look like my audience. But it will come…

I work for 2100 not 2030. I will never see the fruits of my effort.

Voting is not the issue per se. But mild solutions like this can shift the balance of power back to the masculine, although not as strongly as in the past. I don’t think a civilization that is too feminized can survive long.

Would you be in favour of allowing only the women who are married to vote? I am thinking hard on solutions to save civilization, that would be one... Curious to hear what a married woman thinks.

Social media used to be good in the early days. I was among the first ones working on them professionaly. Then corporate greed + interest groups willing to manipulate public opinion + indignation mobs took over, and people retreated. Everybody is hiding. Nobody trusts nobody, and for a reason. Making friends has become rare. Most people who reached out to me via DM on X in the last couple of years were AIs trying to scam me... I came here to nostr because I believe social media should be a protocol, like email.

AI will inevitabily be worshipped. It possesses, or better it gives the illusion to possess, attributes that so far have been exclusive to God: omniscience, omnipresence, immateriality. But treating AI as God or even believing it will have consciousness, is a dangerous mistake...

The trickster can only be a human — like me.
But there is a spiritual dimension to technology and AI in particular. Related to purpose more than essence. In itself, technology will never be spiritual as it will never have consciousness.
