I'm Jack - Director of Unspecified Services

I'm into photography (film and digital), analog tools (typewriters, fountain pens, cassettes) and tinkering with software. I spend too much time messing with my Emacs config. I'll try just about anything once.

This was more than enough.

I didn't make the SS symbol connection...until you mentioned it! :).

The default quote button in the #littleFedi web UI looks to me like the number "55", which distracts me ("Hey, another post got 55 boosts!") so I added some custom CSS. It's a testament to littleFedi that I haven't wanted to add any customCSS until now.
```css
/* Hide the original quote SVG */
.action-btn[title="Quote"] svg {
display: none;
}
/* Replace with nicer one */
.action-btn[title="Quote"]::before {
content: "\201C";
font-family: Georgia, serif;
font-size: 26px;
font-weight: bold;
line-height: 1;
position: relative;
top: 4px;
}
```

Took me a minute to find that one, but yeah, it's nice! Now if we could have easier image handling in the web UI I'd be thrilled. I tried Ivory, but on the Mac, images are uploaded as tiny thumbnails for some reason.

After not nearly enough consideration or testing, I went ahead and migrated my [social.lol](https://social.lol/@jbaty) identity here to [social.baty.net](https://social.baty.net/@jack). It seems to have worked, but I have to leave for a few hours, so if something breaks, my timing was poor, too. `¯\_(ツ)_/¯`. Anyway, it's fun and so far I'm enjoying [littleFedi](https://littlefedi.org/).
