@nprofile…9dpf @nprofile…pwsh @nprofile…x5pc yeah i guess for now it depends and is up to however the artist/label/host/publisher/owner of feeds want to present everything. I wondered if i could make a publisher feed of the publisher feeds. Lke it just umbrellas. For example, doerfelverse pub feed has all DV artists in it:doerfels, citybeach, middle season, kurtisdrums etc, then each artist has their pub feeds with their actual works in it. But i dont really care that much. But i thought it could be neat mb

2026-05-19 20:02:53 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…9dpf @nprofile…k8p7 @nprofile…pwsh @nprofile…x5pc the main benefit from what i understand is it helps apps work and flow better. For example you can veiw the artist(by viewing publisher feed) and see everything by that artist(or at least that you link thro pubfeed), single, albums, etc. I still need to make some for some of the doerfelverse bands. But for the ones i did, seems very beneficial

@nprofile…2q02 ive been thinking this for a long time and wanted to mention it. I always wished the art was bigger in guru. Just use some of that space between the name of ep, the time left in ep, and play/payse skip buttons, bring those closer together then art could be bigger. All good, just an item in my podcast guru wish list, nothing important lol

2025-12-16 21:46:42 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…25h2 @nprofile…wsn5 @nprofile…5yxp @nprofile…vwpk yes it all depends on the purpose of the feed. If an artist and they are going to put all their singles there we want people subscribed to get notified when new song is added. Hence the order would be just like a podcast. But If it's an album or EP we are going to want them in the appropriate order for that. The top being the first track and so forth. @nprofile…amf2 app and @nprofile…2q02 have nifty up down arrows allow you to swap between the two orders work great

2025-12-16 03:32:05 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…25h2 @nprofile…5yxp i dont even know how any of the tracks would have a season number LOL i use @nprofile…vwpk s SoverignFeeds and i put them in order through that. There was a time when the order was getting messed up but i think its straightened out now. and dont recall any spot for a season in SF.

We(The Doerfels) are our own "platform" so to speak, and you can stream all of our music on demand as much as you want in our music app on our website, or any 2.0 app. Here is a throwback to 2017, our Think EP Live audio and video.
https://itdv.podtards.com/album/think-ep-live
Our music is value for value, meaning we offer our music at at no cost no restrictions no paywalls. We just ask if you get value from it, return value in any meaningful way to you, even just listening and letting is know counts! :)

I've felt strongly about musicians/artists having a single feed to release the majority of new songs in. That way people who might discover you and enjoy your music can subscribe and get a notification whenever there's a new song.
However there is hardly anybody doing this. Off the top of my head I can only think of us, Jimmy V, and HeyCitizen. For anyone out there, do you subscribe to a musicians music feed and enjoy getting the occasional notification when there's a new song?
Thoughts?

2025-03-29 00:40:54 UTC

No doerfelverse tonight. Family is sick with a stomach thing. Was hoping to maybe still do a quick episode by myself but not gonna happen :(

So about 25 min into our podcast earlier this evening our guest lost power from bad weather. He notified me they are well, and we shall reschedule.
In other news, doerfels livestream video is now setup and working perfectly via our website. We got it working in apps too but I'm thinking we are going to simply keep the apps audio only, and if you want video it will be on our website.

2025-02-15 05:41:59 UTC

Observation: I can manuely add a feeds URL to guru, and send test boosts and everything works as it should, without it being known to the index. I do this sometimes to double check I didn't make any mistakes. But I do same thing with fountain and none of the boosting works, it's all in the feed though so why wouldnt boosting still work?

- reply

@nprofile…7xwn yeah i was wondering about your splits in all our many feeds

2024-12-06 19:52:35 UTC

I'm somewhat unsure what is being talked about. I like that my podcast app doesn't shove a bunch of algo made or worse yet, paid for ads of content in my face. I get what I want. What I subscribe to. No other junk. podroll is perfect, cuz it's not shoving stuff in my face like Spotify, YouTube etc. but i can easily see other content related to something I like cuz of podroll. A discovery page is cool, but as long as the app isn't centered around it.

@nprofile…6746 yes this would be amazing to not have to track down what song of ours was played in what podcast on what episode. I mean some of that info is there but it could be way clearer

@nprofile…ayy4 @nprofile…jszy @nprofile…6746 Chad do you know, how did I sync the node with only a 500gb hard drive? I'm guessing it only syncs part of it to save space, if that's a thing? I dono, but I know it's working lol

2024-11-20 00:50:01 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…jszy @nprofile…ayy4 bought this little b-link for $160 https://a.co/d/cnF6Per put start9 on it with no problems, I use helipad, albyhub and love it. Works great. Got all my brothers albys and a couple friends switched to my node too. So far I love it. It just stays on 24/7. For an artist or podcast trying to do v4v building a node is the way!

2024-11-17 14:16:04 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…w443 @nprofile…6746 what about putting Alby in the value splits for our feeds like we do for @nprofile…7xwn services?

2024-11-17 04:39:08 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…6746 I like having a node, Albyhub, and recommend it. I've not had to mess with it much, start9 and the blink you recommended just works, and that's good cuz I've had no time to play with it. Dono how I feel about making another node to store other people's sats, but will think on it.

2024-11-17 04:29:39 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…6746 @nprofile…7xwn @nprofile…et3v @nprofile…cq0g other than not understanding how to make everything go to the specific wallets at first. everything was just dumping into my node without splitting to right brothers wallets, cuz I didn't have 696969 and then their special number, cuz I thought it still just used they Alby address somehow. But I think I got that figured out now. Still got a lot of older feeds to update tho, but I'll get to it, eventually.

2024-11-17 03:56:57 UTC

- reply

@nprofile…6746 @nprofile…7xwn I prolly have like 25+ feeds to update uhhhhg..dono if ill even get to it for a while. and then some of our co-writers got Alby wallets, now I have to tell them, hey that wallets gonna shut down? Bleh. It feels like V4v music has hit a wall. Will it break through? I guess we shall see

2024-08-25 16:17:18 UTC

What is happening with Alby exactly? I'm a little unsure, i just know it's changing. Will the wallets already in use in all the tracks that we have splits set up for continue to work or will that all go away and stop working at some point? i want to know if i have to go back and take out all the alby addresses which I'd love to not have to do

2024-06-17 19:00:22 UTC

Thanks @npub1dft…ta3d for the help so far, now we wait! Once this is done what's the next couple steps? I need to get lightning somehow? Or I need a channel or something?
