Megan Lucero has joined the Newsmast Foundation as our new Civic Media Practitioner in Residence!
For the next six months, Megan will help us in our work with groups across the UK to build and distribute meaningful social community technology which reflects the needs of the people using it.
We can’t wait to see how Megan’s expertise will benefit our projects at the intersection of news and civic media here in the UK.

Happy Pride Month!
With a number of LGBTQ+ people on the team here at the Newsmast Foundation, #Pride is very close to our hearts.
But, we know that for many people Pride doesn't look like a parade or a party. For some, it's a quiet moment at home, a chance to reflect, to hold loved ones closer, to think of those who threw the first rocks.
Pride is a celebration. Pride is a protest. Pride is hope for all the #LGBTQ+ people across the world who aren't yet able to live freely.

Do you see sport content on the Social Web?
Sport is the biggest industry in the world. Not only does it provide entertainment, it builds communities.
But, we're wondering, how much sport content do you see here and what kind? Is it sports content that is relevant to you? What other sport content would you like to see?
Please feel free to share your thoughts in the replies and boost for more to get involved! ⚾
