@nprofile…jjs5 Ottawa! The US got all the snow last week, and just above that was this huge band of arctic air.
We are all so done with winter. I have never seen such giddy Canadians as the ones flying out yesterday. I'm thrilled to be at FOSDEM but also happy to be pretty much anywhere but home. 😁

On my way to #FOSDEM. It's supposed to be -28C tonight and -35C with the wind chill where I am. Who knew that Brussels in January would be a tropical getaway?
I'll try to post more about the talks and share a bit of FOSDEM with those who can't make it. The Linux mobile devroom being one among many highlights.
If you're at FOSDEM and want to geek out Linux mobile.... Message me!

@nprofile…f9sr Great news! I've been looking forward to this as QPR1 is supposed to have a new desktop mode. Is that a feature that will carry over to Graphene?

@nprofile…t773 Hey Dos! Will you be at FOSDEM this year? I gave myself until Sunday to decide whether to go or not. It would be great to meet up again with everyone from the Linux mobile community. Maybe see you there!

Tinkering with the Bluetooth on my #Purism #Librem5. I was getting a lot of skipping (old Discman reference) on my new Bluetooth speaker with the factory firmware. I upgraded to 2.5.1.11 but that didn't seem to help. I remembered that downgrading helped once, so I tried that again and I'm now using firmware version 1.2.20. It's pretty good!
I get minimal skipping, only when I'm swapping apps. Otherwise, it's smooth. Any thoughts on the SparkLAN module? Is it worth it? I think BT5 would be nice.

Alright, that's it! I've had enough! I'm flashing #postmarketOS for the LAST time!
Wait! What? But that would mean.....

I just posted a short tutorial on setting up a simple #LLM on your #oneplus6 running #postmarketOS . The LLM (7b alpaca in this case) is not terribly accurate but possibly useful in some cases.
Warning! You phone will get hot. I haven't tested it long enough to know if it will harm your device, but do be careful.
Oh! I have a website now! Wow! My history with websites is hit and miss, so enjoy it while it lasts. I have half a dozen posts in the works already.

With everything going on in the world, I take joy from the small things. Today, that happens to be controlling GNOME podcasts on pmOS with my PineTime. Amazing work devs!
Seriously though, is there such a thing as a Linux developer appreciation day?

#postmarketos + #oneplus6 + #gnomemobile = Hands down the most enjoyable #LinuxMobile experience I have ever had and I've been testing #LinuxMobile since 2019. We are on to something here.
I'm very tempted to daily drive...
