The reason @nprofile…k0p4 hates Nostr is because he's being paid by Tether to develop a competing project. Simple as that.
The same goes for the rest of the Twitter influencers, the reason they all hate Nostr is because they're being paid by Elon.

If it's a 'company' then it wont be able to actually provide true privacy for its users

Gimp would get +21M% more users & +21M% more donations IF they simply copied Adobe Photoshop UI. After all these years, they continue to keep this garbage interface designed by programmers.

I was told #bitcoin needed protocol changes to "fix the spam" & increase block sizes. Those people went quiet now.

Did you know @nprofile…kv5c now has a blockchain/shitcoin built in (called Flux)?
https://simplex.chat/blog/20241210-simplex-network-v6-2-servers-by-flux-business-chats.html#simplex-chat-and-flux-improve-metadata-privacy-in-simplex-network )
Did you know they've also started doing "content moderation"—blocking users, groups and 3rd party servers?
https://github.com/simplex-chat/simplex-chat/blob/821f034d18930c5c32d1c010a72bff15775b9337/docs%2Frfcs%2F2024-12-30-content-moderation.md
Yeah, so far it's only to stop CSAM distribution but we all know how that's a slippery slope. The good old "Think of the children" tactic. If there's a method to ban, block or censor, it will be used and ABUSED.
SimpleX Chat may have good #privacy but it's not decentralized, neither censorship-resistant. They also seem too concerned with complying with Google/Apple stores—“(...)there are requirements we have to comply with that exist outside of law, e.g. requirements of application stores.”
I also found out they are getting funded by VCS such a Village Global ( https://www.villageglobal.vc/ ), which have backers such as Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Anne Wojcicki and others.

This is not freedom tech. I'm out. DYOR.

AquaWallet is shitcoin-filled mobile wallet, created by an individual who dislikes Nostr, initially launched as closed-source and with concerning privacy policies and terms of service... is now pushing app updates on Google Play without the release of source code on Github or any commits on their repo.
Stop trusting @npub1exc…n72a.

All hardware wallets are a scam. You don't need them. You think you do, but you don't. And those who've spent their money on one(or multiple) instead of stacking more sats will figure out the hard way. If you bought a hardware wallet from a company, you have effectively announced to the world, including governments and potential threats, that you own #bitcoin. At some point, they will come after you and your coins. Good luck.
