You're conflating different things. You see how CPU is linked to nodes in the whitepaper? This is not our pleb node without any hash in the modern sense. He wss referring to honest miner nodes, and their purpose is to solve the double-spend problem without a third-party; the premise that is very much still true and functioning today.
While block-template construction is a problem that needs to be solved by our mutual efforts, it is not the same thing as you portray it to be. We knew that centralized block-template construction was a problem much earlier than BIP110.
We need to consciously opt for pools that provide SV2 functionality. If hashers are reluctant to choose these pools and pools are reluctant to adopt SV2, we need to be more encouraging in our approach.
Anyhow, in two epochs, most of hash is gonna drop off, only integrated projects shall remain that will echo the ethos of true bitcoin enthusiasts. My optimism is unwavering on this, maybe it's just nativity.

No, its illegal migrants from all these ex colony countries. That's what they want you to think. There's not problems in France, just like in any Judaeo-Christian values sharing countries. It's all Muslim migrants' fault. Them fuckin bastards.

- reply

Then you should say that straight away rather than saying what you have been saying all this time. Point your hash through SV2, contribute to the decentralization of block template construction. Be the change you want to see. What else can we do here? Fork off and create a shitcoin and proceed to call it "true bitcoin"?

A minority failing to impose additional consensus restrictions on the economically dominant chain is not, by itself, evidence of centralized mining. It's an expected outcome when that minority cannot attract sufficient hash power.
If your argument is that mining pools concentrate block-template construction and transaction-selection authority, that's a legitimate decentralization concern. For this reason we now have SV2 and DATUM, these tools let hashers create own templates. But you need to demonstrate that this concentration caused BIP-110's failure, rather than simply assuming that independent miners would have supported your preferred ruleset.

2026-10-19 06:32:27 UTC

- reply

Your reverse scenario also ignores Bitcoin's economic incentives.
BIP-110 restricts otherwise-valid, fee-paying transactions. Why would independent, profit-seeking miners voluntarily coordinate to restrict their own revenue opportunities when their existing consensus rules don't require it?
That isn't impossible, but it requires an explanation beyond simply assuming miners would enforce the proposal.
And even if miners did coordinate to enforce BIP-110, that wouldn't demonstrate that legacy nodes had adopted its rules. They'd still be validating against their existing ruleset.
You're confusing miners' ability to coordinate transaction inclusion and chain selection with their ability to change what my node considers valid.
The failure of a minority-enforced soft fork doesn't establish centralized mining. It establishes that the minority couldn't convince sufficient hash power to follow its additional restrictions.

2026-10-18 20:10:33 UTC

It's absurd to see the majority of mankind still placing trust in governments and central planners. Even more absurd to witness socialist ideas being revived among the younger generations.

- Uranium-Lead Dating
- Paleomagnetic and Archaeomagnetic Dating
One would assume it is impossible to falsify all the studies done with using the methods but I would not be surprised if everything is a lie, though I am reluctant to accept such propositions. There should be easy ways to distill the truth from the lies and these methods are used just for that.

The actual Bitcoin security issue is concrete: a sufficiently capable quantum computer could use Shor’s algorithm to recover a private key from an exposed elliptic-curve public key and forge signatures. An attacker could then submit a theft transaction that passes signature verification. Proof of work and agreement on transaction order don’t prevent that kind of attack.

Especially, given that many of these cashu wallets can't be used as NWC for zaps as they can't hold a persistent connection properly. - Bitcoin: individual coins can face extraprotocol discrimination.
- Monero: individual coins resist discrimination, but XMR itself can face categorical discrimination.
And that matters to the meaning of fungibility. Perfect protocol-level indistinguishability doesn't automatically produce economic fungibility if entire markets refuse the asset. Conversely, Bitcoin's observable history doesn't alter the consensus-level equivalence of its units.
There's a fairly deep irony there: #Monero protects fungibility internally by making external exclusion easier; #Bitcoin tolerates external discrimination between coins while making exclusion of Bitcoin itself harder.
