True love is completely detached and
not attached in any sort of way.
Detached love is completely unconditional. What you should be asking the other person is: Are you following your deepest truth? If yes, then I will be satisfied because I want you to live your best life, whether I'm involved or not. Detached love is infinite and pure.
Attached "love" to me is based in fear. I'll love you only if you follow my rules. I'll love you depending on these conditions that I'm setting for you. It's coming from an insecurity within and a need to control.
Consider asking yourself: Why do I need to control something or someone I love? If I really love them, wouldn't I want them to be as happy as possible?

Success to me is very simple.
It has nothing to do with what you’ve achieved on the outside, but simply looking in the mirror and being proud of who you see and the life you get to live on a daily basis.

I roll my eyes when people call me to gossip and analyze someone else’s life and decisions. I simply have zero interest in participating.
If you call me, ask me how I’m doing, what projects I’m working on, what I’m looking forward to. I will of course ask you the same and it will be a nice conversation.
The easy thing for many is to analyze other people. The hard thing for many is to analyze yourself.

I used to love studying, playing, and thinking about poker. It was the perfect combination of math & psychology for me in my 20’s. After years of keeping a beginner mindset and learning everyday, eventually people started to say I was the best player in the casino. Whereas the people who got into the game for the money or fame (the end result) were consistently breaking even, losing, and more importantly unhappy and stressed.
After taking a step back, I’ve realized it’s a common theme I see across all industries: The result you want is more likely to come when you release the attachment to it and instead just genuinely enjoy each step it takes to get there with a smile on your face.
And once you make it to your result, you may realize the fun part isn’t the destination at all. It was simply the journey you took to get there. Because you were just having fun doing what you loved.
I believe if you spend your time doing what you truly love, you’re rich in more ways than money will ever buy.
In my opinion, this is how you will you know you’ve “made it.” You realize there isn’t a destination to get to. You are fully present doing what you love. You have an internal state of peace.
To me, this is true success.

Bickering & arguing with the ones you’re closest to is a complete waste of time.

As a poker player, I would express myself primarily through my betting, and almost never through my voice.
After quitting three years ago, I would get nervous when speaking in front of a group of 4+ and had trouble clearly articulating myself with confidence. I knew it was something I wanted to improve.
Three years later, somebody today told me I’m a natural after taking my upbeat vinyasa class. I smiled and said thanks knowing deep down it’s not true.
It’s obvious to me that you can make your weaknesses your strengths if you are willing to work little by little everyday.
Small progress compounds massively.

1) Sit in silence for 20 minutes per day with your eyes closed. Begin your session with 10 deep inhales through your nose, exhaling out of your mouth on the aggressive side, then doing the remainder of practice with a normal & relaxed breath through and out your nose.
2) Spend 3-6 hours in nature by yourself at least once a week with no technology.
3) Go to a health and wellness retreat in a different city than you currently live.
4) Try a yin yoga class 2x per week where the teacher goes very slow and offers props like bolsters and blocks.
5) Get in the best physical shape of your life.
6) If you do all this for ~3 months and still don’t know what to do, the last resort is to ask exactly one person who has accomplished everything you want in life. Choose this person carefully. Don’t ask a second person.

I’ve noticed a small trend of xrp guys popping up every month or two around here (like one every couple months). Not preachers. but just guys who have a quiet interest. Guys who think xrp is currently being used in international trade as it offers fast transactions, bitcoin is just digital gold hence why it’s so expensive, etc. Just the classic talking points of someone like this. They are guys who seem normal on the surface, but you may notice they are typically less grounded and every so slightly more stressed.
If it somehow gets brought up, which is very rare, I’ll stay quiet or maybe ask a question or two like how long they’ve been holding xrp to see where they’re at. Simple stuff. Yesterday it got brought up with another guy who just moved here and I made the mistake of going a little deeper with the guy who had a bit of an ego and I soon discovered what a mistake that was. If this is any of your guys line of work, to discuss these matters with people, I commend you because I found it to be exhausting within minutes.
For me, I’ve always found shilling bitcoin to be very unfulfilling and largely a negative freeroll, since if they buy and it goes down, they will be upset, versus if they buy and it goes up, it’s like it was to be expected. Also throughout my life, I’ve noticed that the money you acquire will just amplify the internal state in which you live. When I was a poker player, I felt feelings of emptiness, numbness, and depression. I didn’t know exactly why at the time but it was because of the extractive nature of the work, the constant suppressing of my emotions, and the environment I was in being in a casino where everyone is against each other. So anytime I had a good month, the money I made equated to me receiving more energy, which temporarily was a positive boost, but ultimately just amplified the feelings of depression and emptiness within me.
This is largely why on nostr I discuss discovering a contributive purpose, spending your time getting healthy, developing a connection to your breath, and cultivating peace and gratitude within yourself because these are the things that absolutely changed my life the most as it took me from a depressed poker player to being more joyous and loving as a human.
Last nights conversation with the xrp guy was another reminder of this. I’ve reached a point where I don’t feel called to convince anyone of anything. If someone comes to me for advice then great, I know I can help them out in their journey, but wasting time discussing topics with people who fundamentally aren’t using logic will drain you. My intention is to preserve my energy, pour everything into my purpose and retreats, and help the people who are actively searching for it. Ultimately, I believe everyone is going at the perfect speed for their own journey in life as thinking otherwise will only lead to mental suffering within yourself. I hope you had a great 4th of July and may you keep living your best life. Pura Vida.

It’s also rare adults will spend 100-200 hours these days to become friends which is what the retreat setting offers. Even if you go back home to different cities, people keep in contact online. There is always a possibility to moving to the same city one day, starting in person communities, starting businesses together, and many other things that weren’t possible before the retreat.
I’ve seen it happen where people meet at a retreat then move close to one another to build a community.

2026-06-24 01:25:38 UTC

Here are the issues I see in the world:
1) people are addicted to modern technology which causes a dysregulated nervous system & excess stress.
2) technolgy has us more connected than ever, but people feel more alone than ever, lacking true community and a real sense of belonging with like-minded people.
3) people suppress their emotions which causes them to be too serious and too stiff.
My retreat in the @nprofile…j28h in January addresses all three of these issues. In one week, you will leave rejuvenated, restored, with epic new friends, and feeling lighter than you have in a while.

The issues I see in the world is that people are living with nervous systems that are hijacked by modern technology (overstressed), people don’t have a community they feel deeply connected to (feel alone), and people suppress their emotions which leads them to living more seriously instead of tapping into their lighter side which produces more laughter and fun (too stiff).
My retreat is designed to address all three of these issues. In one week you will completely feel rejuvenated, restored, make new friends, and tap into the lighter side of yourself that will help you feel better and become more magnetic to others.

I was building the second line upon the first. So anything negative in regards to complaining or gossiping.
Acknowledging something so you can act on it is different.

I have a challenge for you: Stop complaining & stop gossiping.
Don’t let anything negative come out of your mouth regarding anything external.
See what happens.

I haven’t done both. I’ve dabbled with AI, but diving deep and learning everything about it doesn’t interest me. Cultivating in person community does interest me.

Heard this guy on a podcast say you have two options these days:
1) Study AI really hard and figure it all out
2) Go buy a ranch somewhere, raise a family, and be integrated with the local community
I’m definitely a #2 kind of guy.

I hear what you’re saying, but in this situation it was more boy energy. Not really being strong in his values and just flowing with the direction of the wind that day (how other people are acting & matching that).

I hung out with somebody for the first time 1-on-1 recently. We agreed twice to meet at 3pm. There are some events where showing up late makes sense, but this wasn’t one of them.
He rolls up at 3:35pm. I ask what happened to our agreement. He said people have been flaking and showing up late on him recently so he felt called to do it too.
It sort of blew my mind that a man would supposedly change his values based on the way other people are acting. I got bad vibes immediately.
My opinion: Instead of looking at how other people act, be the example of the change you wish to see. Don’t perpetuate the same behavior cycle you don’t like. Be impeccable with your word. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

The key is to stay deeply connected to your life’s purpose while simultaneously becoming immune to the opinions of others who haven’t achieved what you want.

It’s pretty wild that I’m sitting here in Costa Rica looking at an iguana while typing this message and people in at least 5 continents around the world will read this.
And it’s impossible for the message to be taken down.
Sometimes it’s nice to zoom out and marvel at the amazing technological advancements we’ve made as a species. Pura Vida.

Don’t put extra pressure on yourself to perform well.
Instead relax, breathe, disconnect, and take it easy. Allow your mind to settle.
Watch your performance increase.
