Ever wonder why Team Chad, Team AI, and Team White Supremacy seem to be all the same people?
Because they have one animating thought, a need that drives their attitude towards women, immigrants, and work.
They want slaves.

At no time ever has starting a hot war in the Middle East lowered prices, raised wages, reduced the deficit, paid down the debt, or expanded the availability of healthcare.
And I don’t think I’ve ever in my life seen military action against a foreign country immediately poll at 60% disapproval.

2026-02-28 19:09:28 UTC

Of course this war is illegal. The tariffs are illegal, the renditions are illegal, the camps are illegal, the kidnappings are illegal, the boat attacks are illegal, the vindictive prosecutions are illegal, the shakedowns and extortion are illegal, the layoffs are illegal, the funding cancellations are illegal.
But John Roberts said the only remedy for a criminal Executive is impeachment, so here we are.

This is directly putting the government between parents of trans kids and their doctors.

It doesn’t matter if the administration thinks solar and wind are failures. The people responsible—the ones who have to choose what to invest in that will generate the most power for the least money with high reliability—are using renewables for >80% of new power generation. Oil and coal are over (and gas is declining), because they’re not cost-effective.
Capitalism has no use for culture wars that go against profitability. The GOP will lose their business base.

@nprofile…rdan The Lisa Workshop Pascal compiler *was* the SVS compiler. Lisa Pascal became Clascal (Object Pascal) for Lisa Workbench (which later became MacApp); Think Pascal was a separate codebase entirely; MPW in 1986 used the SVS codebase for Pascal and Green Hills for C. MPW 3.0 in 1988 had a unified code base for Pascal and C, which I think was Fred and Ira's work, still using the SVS frontend for Pascal.

Fuck that.

I blame Spiro Agnew. He started it, in 1970, coining the phrase “liberal news media." It took 55 years (with a couple decades of retrenchment but no surrender.) And now we have it all: internment camps, secret police, political prisoners, unprovoked assaults on citizens by armed federal forces, and repression of the press, law, courts, universities, medicine, culture, and arts.
(Of course, he was a convicted felon.)

Lake, Miller, Vance, MTG all continue to wave the bloody shirt, facts be damned. They desperately want the unconscionable assassination of a gun nut by another gun nut to be the fault of the non-gun-nuts.
Green calls for a “national divorce.” So, blue states get businesses and universities and ports, and red states get land, guns, and import tariffs? Is that really a good idea?

Title 10 and nationalizing the CA NG is not an overreaction. It’s a tactic. It’s an intentional escalation in reaction to a protest that the Federal government intentionally provoked with an over-militarized “immigration” raid.
Its intent is to bring a larger protest in reaction, and lie about it in order to justify an even larger show of force. Repeat until “we had to declare martial law.”
