I once managed to accidentally set off a tiny swimming tempo trainer that then fell into a space behind a bunch of other electronics. It took me forever to find the source of the beeping lol

I was recently surprised as well to discover CalDAV tasks don't integrate with calendar apps. Even the dedicated Android tasks app, @npub1h6m…mx5v , which is recommended by @npub1n5s…rrhp doesn't have an inbuilt calendar view. This seems like an important feature to me.

I have somehow made it this far in life without having seen a Godzilla movie so I'm looking forward to this #monsterdon

There are many API services for transcription, but I'm looking to do so on the device, without sending data to a server. Google/Android can transcribe on device, but don't expose that service for developer access.
This is a client app, not something on the podcast producer side. Some podcasts provide their own transcripts, but most don't, and there's not a consistent way to find or access transcripts from those that do.

While visiting Bicycle Heaven in Pittsburgh, I saw this Hercules Cavallo fixed pedal bike, powered by bouncing up and down. #cycling #mastobikes

I've been working on an #android side project for on-device podcast transcription using the open source library Vosk.
It works for short episodes (15 minutes or so), but Vosk tends to crash on episodes 40 minutes or longer. https://github.com/flibbertigibbet/android-podtitles
