Sign the petition to prevent the Dutch government from sharing queer activists' data with Trump
The Amsterdam police had seized a server which was used by the collective Autistici/Inventati. Prevent this data from falling in the US's hands!
Last August, the United States government had declared the Italian anti-fascist collective to be 'terrorist'. Autistic/Inventati provides digital services to different activist collectives, including queer rights, feminism, abortion rights and anti-militarism.
The US sent out a request for mutual legal assistance (MLA) to the Dutch government. The Dutch police seized the server which had Autistici's data and is going to send this data to the US.
Data of queer rights organisations is at risk of being handed over to the US, where a regime that is hostile to the queer community is in power. Lemkin Institute even states the US is engaging in a trans genocide.

Applied for 13 jobs, I am desperate.
I have a mortgage on a house that isn't built yet.
I need to find something soon.
I haven't felt this stressed for a situation pertaining myself since ever, not even fascists or riot police have made me feel this stressed out.
I need a hug. (and a job)

Just moments ago, the United States Government has designated Autistici/Inventari as a terrorist organisation. According to the US, I'm now a terrorist since I use A/I infrastructure.
All I have to say to the US government is: Fuck you.

I think it's quite interesting how there's a lot of anarchists on fedi, but almost no tankies.
If you're against capitalism, I'd expect you to build that alternative infrastructure and not use the platform of the enemy.
A lot of the marxists-leninists are still on X, the everything Hitler app.

I am legitimately worried about tech literacy for gen-α. And that is of course not their fault, it is the fault of Big Tech and us adults who also keel over when we're confronted by the predatory practices of Big Tech.
When even governments are stuck in vendor lock-in, imagine how absolutely devastating it must be for some kid, whose parents have outsourced parenting to a fucking iPad, who doesn't know what a file let alone a directory is, who would rather ask an LLM instead of doing their own research.
And corporations want people to be both technology-dependent as well as technology-illiterate, because that's people who you can exploit. And it goes much deeper than tech literacy, this tech ecosystem in which children are currently growing up messes with their development of critical thinking and emotional regulation.
I implore every parent: don't give your toddler an iPad, don't show them CoComelon bullshit that is specifically engineered to be addictive, you wouldn't let your kid do a line of coke either.
If you want to introduce them to technology, let them use a PC with supervision, preferably with a non-big tech operating system. Question the technology used at schools.

An anti-LGBT group is hunting down trans women in Bogor, Indonesia. They proudly record their actions. Claiming to be "cleaning up" the city, this group of men douses trans women with urine, beats them, and kicks them in the streets. The videos go viral quickly before being taken down. In the comments sections, many actually voice support: "Bullying, criminal acts, and mob violence are forbidden. But if it’s against queers, then doing all that is perfectly fine."
Do you know why this group dares to act this way? Because this support stems from state-sanctioned violence against queer people in Indonesia. The government has officially declared the "spread of LGBT culture" a threat to national security.
The moment the president labeled us a threat to the nation, the public took it as a justification for their actions—ranging from accounts dedicated to doxxing queer people to calls for our criminalization. The situation escalated rapidly. The state's rhetoric gave people the green light to commit acts of violence, both online and on the streets.
Now, more than ever, we must look out for one another. To allies, the diaspora, and queer friends around the world: please show that you stand with us, even though our own country has branded us public enemies.

Exploring options for alternative communications infrastructure if Chat Control goes live. Please share your opinions too.
I think the following options might be interesting to investigate.
Bitchat
Briar
Cwtch
Delta Chat
Reticulum
Session
SimpleX
I don't exactly know how resilient each of them are to Chat Control. I assume the decentralised ones such as Reticulum and Briar are going to not comply with Chat Control and otherwise we can fork it.
Either way we will become delinquent cybercriminals™ for caring about our privacy, in the eyes of the EU.

Open source is a threat to the capitalist class.
Do not be fooled when Microsoft makes .NET and VScode open source or when Meta makes ReactJS open source.
Big Tech wants to use open source as free labour from community and simultaneously kill any independence the open source community has.
Now, I'm very much in the Microsoft ecosystem, I'm a .NET Developer, and it concerns me how Microsoft is destroying open source. Microsoft killed Atom, built VScode from its corpse. Microsoft made .NET Core, not because they're so generous with cross-platform support, no they want to kill Mono.
I also have my suspicions about the whole Windows Subsystem for Linux, it is a push to eventually force Linux users to use Windows.

2026-07-02 23:28:24 UTC

Progressief Nederland gebruikt Trade Gothic Next Condensed

Hate to say it, but marxist nerds are definitely right on one account and that is that the proletariat should be knowledgeable on class struggle and self-organisation.
Class consciousness is dead in the Netherlands, especially in the field of IT, where we collectively decide we're comfortable enough, until your company does mass layoffs and you are not prepared to organise with your colleagues against it.

Doing a lil' side project, which is a zine with nudes of cool trans people.
Working title: "Trans Tiddies: A Zine to Read at Work, School or at the Squathouse".
Anyone interested in getting their tits printed on folded A4 paper?
It's NOT going to be good quality. The working document is 300 DPI, but the intended target hardware is like your average household laser printer running on almost empty toner and A4 office paper. Technical specs are inspired by Brin's "Shit Hardware Manifesto". https://bloggingbrin.tumblr.com/day/2021/11/09
If you're not the only one in a picture, I will require EXPLICIT CONSENT from the ALL THE PEOPLE on the picture themselves. This is a safety measure I will not compromise on.
This will be completely copyright-free and open-source, please keep this in mind.
The publisher is PawPrintz distro. https://pawprintz.gay
The work-in-progress files are stored on git.gay. (The forgejo instance with by far the best name, imho.) https://git.gay/emilyenco/trans-nude-zine/src/branch/main/zine.pdf
You can DM me on Signal or email me (I need to reconfigure my GPG key some time, right now there's no encryption). There's also a Signal group for the project. I will private mention you in a reply with my signal or email.

NixOS made me lose my wife
I thought it was just installing a Linux distro. "Try NixOS," they said. "It’s not just an OS, it’s a way of life." Even my wife was supportive: "Didn't you say you wanted more control over your system?" That was the last time she looked at me with hope.
I didn’t choose Ubuntu or Fedora like a sane person. No, I chose NixOS — as if I wanted to watch my marriage collapse in real-time. The first day, I spent 12 hours writing a configuration.nix just to get Wi-Fi working. When my wife brought dinner, I waved her off: "I’m just setting up a declarative Bluetooth module, it’ll only take a minute..."
She asked if we could go hiking over the weekend. "Sure," I said, "right after I finish setting up home-manager and figuring out why my shell isn't reproducible." That was three weeks ago.
She tried everything to pull me out. "Let’s go for a coffee," she said. "Sorry, I’m debugging why my system rebuild keeps pulling a different glibc version." "Maybe just watch a movie together?" "Good idea! First I need to package mpv myself, I don't trust the default derivation..."
Then came the final blow: One night, she found me at 3 a.m., half-naked, whispering into the void: "If I can just get this flake to build... I can declare our entire marriage in a flake.nix..."

After three months of limited disclosure, I can finally announce I did brand and logo design for the campaign "Genderdiagnonsens".
Today Trans Zorg Nu launched a new campaign which critiques the long waiting lists and the immense amount of gatekeeping in the transgender healthcare system in the Netherlands.
It is an art project where we invite people to submit their art about the trans healthcare system. You can send in your artwork to transzorgnu[at]riseup.net.
Check it out (Instagram): https://www.instagram.com/genderdiagnonsens

0.05516 * 100 + 3.92 + 0.0558 = 9.4918

Ben erachter gekomen dat 100 A8-formaat stickers versturen me €9,44 (9,436 onafgerond) kost.

The whole "immigrants are important for the economy and will do the jobs you don't want to do" line of reasoning is a completely dehumanising capitalist approach. Our value as human beings should not determined by our economic output.
