Danny and I just wrapped up the final episode of What Bitcoin Did at Bitcoin Park, recording with some of our closest friends in #bitcoin - @npub1cn4…3vle , @npub1qny…95gx and @npub10cx…fcj3, along with special appearances, including my son.
The episode will be released on August 30th. After that, we'll take a week off before launching our new show (the worst-kept secret).
After 7 years, 860 podcasts, countless flights, and visiting about 40 countries, the time is right. Time is precious. I need to travel less and focus on Bedford, the football team, family and bringing to life everything we've discussed over the past 7 years.
I believe we're entering a new era where #bitcoin is a legitimate part of every conversation. Our new show will reflect this, so we’re building a studio in London and evolving the format where #bitcoin is the heartbeat not the headline.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this. I couldn’t have done any of this without the kindness and generosity of so many of you, especially @npub16le…ffxj .
I'm humbled by it all and everyone of you.
Big love ✌🏻

A few days ago I asked you lunatics to donate #bitcoin to Rebirth Beirut, an NGO which is turning the lights back on in Beirut, street by street.
The close to 10m sats you donated was enough to relight a street. So in this video, the street you see was dark for 3 years, tonight it is lit.
It was crazy, all the neighbours came out and were taking photos, it was a mini street party. They explained how this changes their lives.lThank you so much.

I’m in Lebanon orange pilling an NGO called Rebirth Beirut.
With the collapse of the energy grid they raise money to restore street and traffic lights.
Do me a solid and send some sats to this QR code to show them how badass #bitcoin is.

Nostr is very very cool…but…we’re a long way from normies wanting an unfiltered, decentralised social network which doesn’t have all their favourite famous peeps.
Bitcoiners will naturally have a love for Nostr because it fits with their worldview and understanding.
Like educating the benefits of Bitcoin, Nostr will have the same challenges. Zaps, nPubs etc… won’t mean much to most people.
For now it’s a super cool Bitcoin chat room.
