@nprofile…y623 Dare I ask? Something specific, or just the general... *indicates to all of this*
I've been a bit out of the politics loop recently.

Is there a good breakdown somewhere, ideally some kind of checklist, to help people work out whether they are in scope and what they actually need to do if they are?
There seemed to be so much confusion a couple of months ago, I've seen everything from "this is internet doom" to "this probably doesn't affect you, and if it does you just need some basic policies and moderation".

@nprofile…y623 I've always felt one of the best ways to get more solar deployed would be central government grants to all public sector orgs to put solar on their roofs.
Most are large enough that installation is economical, the public sector benefits from lower costs, you don't have to use loads of farmland or faff with planning.
You also don't need to wait for grid interconnects. Most of the time it just reduces load.
It would stimulate the solar installation industry, causing it to grow and become more efficient (there has to be a better way than expensive scaffolding), which would lead to consumers getting lower cost installations later.

@npub19lt…qfjk That's a really good point about the evening western aspect, I'd not really thought about that. We need to have our roof replaced (terrible 1960's asbestos slates that are failing) so this might need to wait for next year once the finances recover.

@npub19lt…qfjk @npub1cn8…tnxt Until now I hadn't realised your roof was east/west. We have an east/west orientation and I'd always assumed we wouldn't generate enogh to be worth it, but you get rather more than I expected. I should probably take another look at getting some.
