This whole story is so disturbing.
"In the recording, Lal quoted $6,000 for a package covering antenatal sessions, birth support and six weeks of postpartum care.
But she told Ms Warnecke she might not even make it to the birth.
'I'll prepare the two of you to birth on your own,' she said, adding that she did her best to be there but births sometimes happened faster than expected."
So, it basically sounds like $6000 for no guarantee of actual support?
The red flag to this couple should have been the comment that basically said -if the labor last too long you are on your own.
"She also told her about a client whose labour lasted five days and said: 'I'm not going to be there for five.' "
I wonder if the mother or the child survived that 5 day labor.

WTAF? I know this is just an opinion piece but....
https://www.jpost.com/defense-and-tech/article-906985
“Economic enlistment for indebted military-age Americans
The narrative war on the domestic American front has already failed. The Pentagon has not been able to sell this war to the American public because the war has been rhetorically fused with Israel's operations in Gaza, and the American public rejects the fusion.
Recruitment numbers are running below what a ground invasion of Iran would require. Estimates for a successful ground campaign against Iran's 31 provincial commands and its Mosaic Defense Doctrine run between 750 thousand and 1.5 million American troops. The current active US Army stands at roughly 452 thousand. The math does not work, obviously.
Based on American history, however, there is a path forward. Not conscription or a draft in a world war-era sense, but enlistment through a “debt forgiveness program.”
The average American aged 18 to 34 carries more than $40 thousand in non-mortgage debt across student loans, credit card balances, auto loans, and personal loans, with some estimates go as high as $100 thousand.
This is the cohort the Pentagon needs. A federally administered debt-forgiveness enlistment program that fully discharges student loan, credit card, and loan balances after 24 or 36 months of service, and extends the GI Bill, would produce voluntary enlistment at scale.
This is not theoretical.”

I was almost always in a bra even while sleeping. Menopause gave me some relief from chronic pain and swelling. Erratic hormone shifts from PCOS coupled with fibrocystic breast tissue was something I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
Plus being brutally mugged by the tit fairy during puberty gave me an awful lot of bulk to deal with. So as much as I wished I could go without a bra it really wasn't an option.

They still do all those things, but use different excuses.
Back in the 1980's I was turned down for jobs because I was a woman, but they used "safety" as the justification.
Several different employers told me directly or indirectly that I would be a "distraction" to the other people working on the crew.
Another told me I was "too pretty" and I would get raped on the jobsite.
I had some job interviews that turned into request for prostitution services.
Mind you I wasn't searching in the male entertainment field, I never interviewed at strip clubs or massage parlors or anything like that.
These were basic jobs in manufacturing and industry.
Up through the 1990's that I'm aware of, prospective landlords would ask women all kinds of questions about their lives they never asked the men. It probably still goes on.

I am beyond angry at the moment, not quite at full-on rage yet, but damn close.
So… my elderly mother is a breast cancer survivor, and she has had chemo and a double mastectomy.
Due to concerns over certain symptoms my mom was having, her primary care doctor set her up with an MRI scan of the upper chest area to observe the remaining breast tissue since mom does not have enough left to do a mammogram on.
Several months of phone tag later, and no appointment.
My mom tells the doctor the she hasn’t managed to get the scan yet. The Doctor calls to find out why, and she is told by the radiology department that something was not done right on the request form, and that it needed to be re-done. Doctor re-submits the request and still no response.
Doctor calls the radiology department again for clarification and is told that the wording is wrong. The doctor was told that there was some confusion about what she wanted done.
What the doctor was apparently informed was that if she wanted the scan done she would need to use the term “CHEST TISSUE” instead of “Breast tissue.” Or it would not happen.
SO… Basically my mom ‘s health care is being held hostage by gender nazis.

She created the original process for quickly assessing the health of a newborn baby that has saved countess lives.
Now someone has gone and subtly inserted a trans reference to the origin story of the AGPAR test. These illustrations are in a children's book recommended for ages 5-9.

Mamdani belongs to a class of people referred to as "red diaper babies" They have been soaking in this ideology since birth, and are raised in private schools to insulate them from reality. Generally they will spend a semester or two in a public school just so they can claim they have been there and "understand."
It's similar to the unpaid interns that go home on the weekends to get their laundry done and get groceries. They claim to understand poverty because they had to eat top ramen occasionally while living in the apartment in NYC that mom and dad paid for.

Here is the text in case anyone doesn't go to X...
Last year, I asked a very senior, recently retired admiral:
“Why hasn’t the USCG made a single arrest, despite dozens of known sex offenders?”
His answer stuck with me:
“Because the most sick and evil people I met in my career in law enforcement all shared one trait: they were overwhelmingly nice.”
Today, you can get away with almost any sin as long as you’re “kind” and “nice” to everyone except your victims.
A truly moral man can have his reputation destroyed for losing his temper once.
But a truly evil man? He can commit violent crimes and walk free because everyone says:
“No way—it can’t be him. He’s sooo nice.”
I’m not accusing Zohran of anything like that. But I will say this:
Communism has caused more death and suffering than any ideology in history.
Yet we excuse it, because he looks harmless and is sooo nice.
I don’t know when “niceness” replaced character.
I don’t know when tough love became the worst trait a father could have.
But I’m done voting for people just because they’re harmless looking and sooo nice.

It truly is.
Sensory deprivation is a form of slow torture.
It is used to punish prisoners, and also used by cults for programming members. In my opinion anyone who participates in the raising of children in a "Sad Beige" environment and not carefully managing the kids screen time are guilty of child abuse.

2025-06-17 19:45:25 UTC

Yesterday I saw two tourists hiking in my local park, and neither of them was looking at the scenery around them.
They were both glued to their cellphone screens as they walked by.
It got me wondering about the programing people are doing to themselves and their children.
For example:
"Sad Beige Moms", All new buildings being ugly and grey, etc.
Combine the sad ugly drab environments with the hyper-realistic over saturated colors of modern TV and computer screens, then the real world apparently can't compete. Even McDonald's has replaced many of their playplace areas with computer tablets.

The indoctrination of children at public libraries is constant.
I gave an elderly lady that I know a ride to her local library last year because she needed to get her card renewed, and then I saw this display. Notice where it is posted, this is the side of the service counter and everything is down at child's eye level. I almost didn't see it except that I walked over to a chair in the children's section to sit and re-tie my shoelaces. I don't think the average adult walking in there would even notice it was there.

OMG! you too? I thought it was just me. After I caught that damn virus I swear I lost at least a decade somewhere. I was already managing a couple of chronic conditions, and then Covid mugged me with a baseball bat. My digestion is shot, and I never did completely get my sense of smell back, I have no appetite, and I starved off a large chunk of muscle mass without even noticing or feeling it. The weird part is the sense of smell and the appetite are intermittent. Like a short in an old radio. Every so often something will jog the circuits just right and I suddenly get a signal. I can smell food and I realize that I'm really Seriously starving. AND then it dissappears again for a week or more.

Maybe mentally ill individuals should not be put in charge of important safety jobs?

This is the second video.
The guy doesn't get it as bad as the old man did, but still the lack of basic logic and reasoning skills on the part of the arresting officer is disturbing in my opinion.

Oh dear! The police seriously lack common sense these days. This is the second video I've seen of police roughing up a wheelchair bound person.

Oh Canada...
You are in for a fight if you want to keep any speech rights.
"I..A bill making its way through Parliament would impose draconian criminal penalties on hate speech and curtail people’s liberty in order to stop future crimes they haven’t yet committed.
The Online Harms Act states that any person who advocates for or promotes genocide is “liable to imprisonment for life.” It defines lesser “hate crimes” as including online speech that is “likely to foment detestation or vilification” on the basis of race, religion, gender, or other protected categories. And if someone “fears” they may become a victim of a hate crime, they can go before a judge, who may summon the preemptively accused for a sort of precrime trial. If the judge finds “reasonable grounds” for the fear, the defendant must enter into “a recognizance.”"

Why have I never heard of Swedish Easter Witches before?
"The Swedish tradition of Easter witches, has its roots in the old folk belief that witches would fly to the mountain Blåkulla on Maundy Thursday to celebrate sabbath. The Easter witches loved coffee and would come into homes down the chimney and brew coffee to take with them."

Starting at 11:15 -that TIF was really hurt bad by someone in her church when she was little. It's a real shame she never got any good counseling before going down the T path.

Does not work well in some quick breads, but does work in any of the kneaded yeast breads. Somewhere in my collection I have an old recipe for Challa that used powdered eggs and powdered milk. Made it a few times turned out ok.
