THIS is what you get when you “both sides” gravely critical issues. The media is squarely to blame for this bullshit. I hope so-called journalists remember that as they are dragged to the gallows.

The thing that truly chaps my balls: I’ve tried all my life to be a decent human being. I have always tried to be fair and treat each and every person with respect and dignity. I never considered their beliefs in any decision I have ever made. That was their business.
That shit fucking ends now. Fuck you nazis. You are dead to me.

This afternoon I had a choice between catching up on work or recording a song. So drums, bass, percussion and a first stab at vocals are done. 😏
I’m known for doing mostly high tempo songs but this one is only 140bpm. But listening back this evening to a working mix, it might go even a little slower. We’ll see what happens.

I’m going to watch all the ai hype machines, as the quarterly operating costs shoot through the roof without any accompanying increase in profit. How will this translate to drops in earnings? There’s only so many people you can lay-off and continue to operate. How long until Nadella gets the boot?
It will be interesting to watch while stand in the corner over here, eating a banana.

my issues tend to be springing from sleep into a panic attack at 2 or 3am. It’s always about work because I chose a career that makes me feel like an idiot most of the time. I used to be a projectionist for a theater many, many moons ago, and was responsible for building up the films from the reels. I will tell you the distribution companies then would burn the city down looking for those prints, as they are VERY EXPENSIVE to produce. They would be considered stolen property. Probably still are considered as such, if they were recently stolen depending on applicable statute of limitations (IANAL). I would strongly advise you to turn them over.

So if you were mauled by a demon, wouldn’t you take pictures and share the story IMMEDIATELY with the world, especially if you had media exposure already?
That leaves two possibilities:
1. You have absolutely not an ounce of empathy in your body. No care for humanity. So self absorbed you couldn’t bring yourself to warn others of a very real danger.
2. It’s a complete fabrication.
And yet, I come to the conclusion that BOTH of these things are true in this instance.

My biggest gripe about mastodon is the broken nature of response context. Even though I am following BOTH accounts, I can click on SOME responses and still not see the parent post in thread.
So if somebody posts “@npub1tx7…gew8 That’s the best joke ever!” I can’t see what the joke was. It doesn’t render as a thread, just a standalone post.
I’m not sure if this is a Mastodon issue or something in the Ivory client. But it’s extremely annoying.

It is time for tech workers to band together, build tools for the survival of the middle class. We need to create spaces for routing around billionaire-controlled resources. Let’s focus efforts to empower the middle class to support each other, not continue lining the pockets of the rich and apathetic.
We don’t NEED Amazon. We don’t NEED Kroger. We don’t NEED the Washington Post.
We NEED each other. We can do this.

2024-10-28 13:43:57 UTC

You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip. The turnip I’m referring to is the middle class - the largest segment of the population. The weight of the entire economy has been shouldered by the middle class so the rich can enjoy their continued lavish lifestyles. We pay billionaires for food, medicine, housing, entertainment, and yes - even the news.
Were tapped-out my friends. We are not the ones with excess stacks of cash. We cannot give anymore.
Now is the time to end support of billionaires.
