My buddy who has been a #coffee roaster in D.C. since 2009 is getting out of the business. Beans are suddenly 20-25% more expensive...one reason he cites is that USAID had a program that successfully switched farmers in Central & South America from coca to coffee. And he (my friend) says the coffee (green/unroasted) bean market is VERY sensitive to economic instability.
So much fucking stupidity.
