I saw this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSYWE8Z8b_o . Since dry moly lube is hard to find here, I figured I'd try this spray paint. Chucked it on some stainless steel, let it dry, then lasered a typical grid, cleaning up with acetone. I also tried it on bare metal.

At 1000mm/min and 100% power, I can get a nice black mark with it. Clearly I need more power in my laser! The bare metal... basically didn't get marked at all.
