Ghana’s Tree for Life Reforestation Initiative planted 31 million trees in 2025 and plan to plant 30 million more this year.
The project aims to improve degraded land, improve clean waterways, combat climate change and provide economic opportunities. Many of the plantings are over places where there was illegal mining that polluted the landscape.
People can also pick up free trees during planting season at their local forestry department.
