The thing it raised for me (and I guess the web share API in general) is how differently we use our devices.
On mobile this component is great because I can easily share through my apps, but on desktop (macos for me) I get a weird list of default apps I don't use (Mail, Notes, Freeform..?) and no way to share to something social media-ish. Also there's no share integration with a browser at all, which on desktop is where I do most of my interaction.
This is just a comment though, I have no idea if this is a fixable thing, or even needs fixing and is working correctly 🤷🏼♂️
