The Schriftguss photo is from a much smaller exhibition in what had been the Buchgewerbehaus, which had originally been built in the early 1880s. After WWII, the house was renamed the Bugra-Messehalle, and the 1949–50 exhibition was the first of its kind in Leipzig since the war, and probably since 1940.
