Many users of the fedi probably don't see the extent of the spam & bot activity on network as their server admins & moderators act like human firewalls keeping spam & bots out of your feed & mentions

You probably haven't seen it as it gets dealt with quickly & on metalhead.club we don't talk about it much as we believe our members should be able to enjoy the server & the network without worrying about it

You may or may not be able to notice it, but Fediverse admins and mods are currently fighting an annoying fight against various spammers - lately the "Yevheniia" spam wave.

It takes mods and admins a lot of time and nerves to suspend spammer users, _after_ some damage has already been done.

As of now, Mastodon does not have any heuristics-based alerting systems or tools that help fight spammers on the Fediverse. The only thing that we can do is _react_.

We're in a poor situation. Let's change that!
