As someone who is frequently in the orbit of speedrunning, I do think there's a perception problem in that we generally only see the top few runners of any given game, and so it sometimes feels like there isn't much point in submitting runs that aren't within a certain epsilon of "competitive."

We really ought to do more to encourage runs that aren't at or around WR territory.

I want to see more casual runners hanging out and doing events.
