Nothing can prevent crime all the time. If people are out in public, in the USA, they can be filmed or observed by anybody. If this helps police catch criminals, good by me. The problem we have, just like the UK, is that the cops can catch the criminals but the DAs and judges turn them right back out onto the streets.
