I think we'd save a lot of time talking about logical fallacies / fallacious arguments by simply saying "if it ain't deductive reasoning, it ain't shit."
Like, looking through the long list of fallacious arguments, most of it is just caricatures of inductive reasoning, lol.
The entire scientific method rests on a combination of the Post Hoc and Argumentum ad Populum fallacies.
"B seems to always happen when we do A, therefore A implies B."
That's inductive reasoning, baby. It gave us the foundations of Newtonian physics.
