Russia is using citizens from 47 countries in its war: Ghana, Nepal, Tajikistan, India, Yemen, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cuba, Belarus, Sudan, South Africa, and many others.
From time to time, we receive requests for the return of specific prisoners of war to their home countries. And in the videos from our drones, we also see people dying on the battlefield who are not Russian. People from your countries – from those 47 countries – who have been brought to Russia through deception and trickery.
Do not let Putin drag you into his war. Do not allow Russia to extinguish its fires, hide its shame, and pay for its madness with the lives of your people. Limit his room for maneuver. Limit his money. Limit his war.
And please, do not be the last to stand up to protect life. Be the first to say, “We guarantee security.”
Thank you to everyone who helps. Thank you to everyone who supports us, our people, our children, and Ukraine.
He said this during an address at the general debate of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
