AI has poisoned the well. The internet is already unreliable for most of its former mundane purposes. And not simply unreliable but increasingly rigged and dangerous, too. Every day I'm surprised how true this has become: recipes, history, how-to in everything from gardening and ant-farming to fence-building and yoga, the weather report, all gutted and replaced with sham facsimiles. We had a real-life crystal ball and suddenly it's gone.
