New @nprofile…radp release is out,
go get it.
Both
One is for text to speech, so your phone reads to you, the other is speech to text, so you can talk to your phone.
@npub1wht…r3ec works natively with both btw.
thanks - these are good issues, we'll get them fixed. But we're about to cut a release now, so those fixes will come in the one after that.

the 3D printing files and PCB of the seed hammer are fully open source. you're encouraged to DIY.
However, it's build by solid bitcoiners, might as well toss them some sats so they build the next generation.
No internet connection, only way in is NFC.
And the recommended steel is very fire proof and will stay legible.
share it with some friends & family
the device is optimized for that
You want your nsec in steel, don't you anon?

Keet doesn't have great encryption, and it doesn't work with Nostr keys.
Our goal is a spec that any Nostr app can use to deploy encrypted decentralized group messaging.
We can get Nostr to run in the FIPS mesh network, we'll be working on that soon in Marmot & White Noise.
Really good new offline text to speech app, the models have a much more natural voice than the default Graphene OS engine.

Perhaps one of the more difficult things to communicate (verbally), and getting to a point where someone experiences it for himself such that the point gets across and an intuition starts to build, its the matter of ''perspective'' irt Nostr.
This is because, among other stuff, Nostr changes two things, compared to the legacy platforms and two variables makes for complex systems.
With Nostr, both WHAT you look at, as well as HOW it gets presented to you, is completely flexible, whereas on platforms, mostly these two things are extremely rigid.
The rigidity has a reason, which is the 'purpose'. The content and the presentation of that content go hand in hand in order of an ''app'' to communicate to the user what the app is for. Pintrest is this moodboard type of thing, so it presents pictures in a moodboard kind of way.
Perhaps the initial reaction from a lot of people to Nostr's flexibility is disorientation, rather than recognizing the opportunities this creates.
Telling them that the same content can be shown a bunch of different ways is meaningless to them, because they lack a mental framework/understanding to comprehend.
Maybe I should frame it differently, from an angle they do understand which is how the web experience over time became bland, similar to how mcdonalds buildings became boring. The more your focus is ''the masses'', the more you seek out the lowest common denominator. Any bold, opinionated choice simply undermines your ''masses'' ambition. The ''UI/UX" landscape of the legacy platforms is not such because it is the best, and/or the most appealing; they are such because they are the least offensive to the largest share of the users.
And they need to be, they can't afford to be anything else, their whole model/architecture depends on mass adoption of their app.
With Nostr, no such pressure exists (network effect in the protocol not the location/platform blablabla), so all the sudden, liberated from this pressure, things can be hyper opinionated, hyper outputting to anyone but a few. Hyper specialized for purpose, hyper bespoke depending on the use-case.
The point is not that you can look at anything in any way, it is that you can look at what you want in the way you want. The point is not the infinity options available, the point is that within that infinity you can pick the one particular to you.

what I thought worked, was broken, then I thought it was not broken, then I realized it's broken.
Still one of my favorite features I’ve built into @nprofile…47c0, followed by @nprofile…4k44 and @nprofile…jv6s.

You are seeing the old version of the application, which we stopped working on more than half a year ago. We now have a new test flight link that you can get on the website. https://whitenoise.chat
Right now we do not support signing in with the same nsec into multiple apps. So if you do that, it is expected to break. We will be working on that very soon. So for now, create a new nsec on your desktop and then invite both pubkey into the groups.
Yes.
Sub groups and threads are coming soon.
What else do you need?
Yes, that ones in the pipeline to be published too.
I haven't yet, maybe @nprofile…40fs makes it easy.
Dark Wisp FTW

Oh I didnt even know that, nice!
That's a cool list, didn't read most of them.
It's quite often that I open the Signal app and expect to find a @npub1wht…r3ec feature, but it's not there.
A sad realization.
That's a nice collection of books in the background too.
Good, it achieved it's purpose!
just dont forget to check on the clankers in between chapters tho...
So what's your reason to use those names?
Glad you liked the show
When you see an update to one of @nprofile…9ccm apps fly in to @nprofile…gsu4, there is a good chance that you're the very first human to ever install that apk.
Feels kinda special.

Totally missed that @nprofile…5q4l tutorial on @nprofile…gldk, nice.

People can build parallel markets and mutual aid that let them earn, trade and live independently of anyone who claims part of their working life. A tax office withholding wages, a state drafting soldiers and a trafficker holding a passport all violate self-ownership in the same way, and each worker who prospers in the free economy makes exit more attractive and those claims costlier to enforce.

I get it.
Can you check now again please?
That's weird...
Did you try different browser?
DM me on @nprofile…radp and we can troubleshoot.
Oh yeah, obviously.
Good catch, thanks!
Would love some feedback on my new book recommendation website.

Got any improvements to the ux and list of books?
Marmot TS v0.7.0 is published
This is for you if you want to build a secure chat app in the web.
https://github.com/marmot-protocol/marmot-ts
Dont log in with the same nsec in two clients tho.
Yes!
Already done, just not publicly released.

github.com/marmot-protocol/whitenoise-mac
Nice, let me know what you think about it.
That's awesome. Glad it's working well for you!
Here's the Mac app, It currently does not have multi-device support, so you should log in with a different nsec than the one you have on your phone, and then invite both to the group and tell agent to accept messages from both.
github.com/marmot-protocol/whitenoise-mac
We have a documentation now, if you have any questions about how @nprofile…radp works and how to use it, check it out.

That's technically really difficult because a admin member has to do the commit to add a new person to the group. You can however keep the app running in the background and do that automatically, or have dedicated small server admin that is on a 24-7 online machine.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to have an optional rule where join commits can be made by members who are not even in the group.
Yes, we're working on invite links.
But in any case, the admin must be online to add the new members pubkey to the group.
