Não existe um “presidente ladrão maior de todos os tempos” de forma objetiva e mensurável. Corrupção no Brasil é sistêmica, atravessa partidos e décadas, e o ranking depende do critério que se usa: valor desviado, condenação judicial definitiva, escala do esquema, enriquecimento pessoal comprovado ou percepção popular.
Aqui vão os fatos mais relevantes, sem filtro partidário:
### Fernando Collor de Mello (1990-1992)
- Foi o primeiro presidente eleito após a ditadura e o primeiro a sofrer *impeachment* por corrupção (1992).
- O esquema PC Farias envolvia tráfico de influência, contas fantasmas e pagamento de despesas pessoais do presidente com dinheiro desviado.
- Em 2023 o STF o condenou por corrupção passiva e lavagem de dinheiro (R$ 20 milhões em propina da UTC Engenharia para contratos da BR Distribuidora). Em 2025 ele foi preso para cumprir a pena.
- É o único ex-presidente da Nova República que teve *impeachment* por corrupção pessoal e, décadas depois, condenação definitiva e prisão por outro caso de propina.
### Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva
- Foi condenado em duas ações da Lava Jato (tríplex do Guarujá e sítio de Atibaia) por corrupção passiva e lavagem de dinheiro. Cumpriu 580 dias de prisão.
- As condenações foram anuladas pelo STF em 2021 por falta de competência da 13ª Vara de Curitiba e parcialidade do juiz Sérgio Moro. Os processos depois prescreveram. Hoje ele não tem condenação criminal válida.
- O esquema da Petrobras (Petrolão) e o Mensalão, ocorridos durante seus governos e o de Dilma, envolveram bilhões e levaram dezenas de condenações de aliados, empreiteiras e dirigentes petistas. A Lava Jato recuperou bilhões para os cofres públicos.
- Em pesquisas de percepção (Datafolha 2026, por exemplo), parte relevante da população ainda o aponta como o mais associado à corrupção entre os candidatos.

- **Dilma Rousseff**: *impeachment* por crime de responsabilidade fiscal (“pedaladas”), no auge do escândalo da Petrobras.
- **Michel Temer**: investigado e preso temporariamente em casos de corrupção.
- **Jair Bolsonaro**: condenado em 2025 a 27 anos e 3 meses por crimes relacionados à tentativa de golpe (não por enriquecimento ilícito pessoal). Corrupção no Brasil não tem “dono” de um único partido ou presidente. Quase todos os presidentes da Nova República enfrentaram denúncias ou processos. O sistema político-empresarial brasileiro historicamente facilita o desvio, e a Justiça oscila entre rigor seletivo e anulação posterior.

One time, I was working on an extension for a particular game, relating to economy management.
As breaking the economy due to a bug would of course be bad, there was an update checker that automatically disabled all functionality if the version was marked vulnerable.
The function was off by default but it was highlighted in the configuration.
There was 1-2 times I needed to use that.
Not sure why Bitcoin projects don’t do this, to some extent.
