yeh. nah. powerful disturbances that are enough to nudge fault lines take solar level energy, that's like 8 zeroes more energy than anything that the entire human power generation capacity could ever hit.
even then, it's still a case of triggering something that's already locked and loaded. predicting earthquakes requires sensing of the ground state more so than anything else. and putting that energy into the air and hoping it goes to ground is pretty implausible too.
hacking control systems and getting workers to "accidentally" forget something in the system though, that's entirely within the domain of the pager bombers.

Maby true. But BRICS is still a very loose cluster of countries that are not easily aligned in their intrests.
I am not sure if the G7 is currently much stronger aligned. Maby the world is in general more shattered. Less reliance and less trust in todays world than in the beginning of the century I would say.
