Today I passed by the place where Anton Bruckner died and decided to bring him a Nostr homage with one of the most epic endings. Sergiu Celibidache conducting Bruckner's 4th Symphony with the Münchner Philharmoniker in 1983. https://v.nostr.build/pu5AII55t7xhm72NCjMjTZ.mp4 https://i.nostr.build/YXDWJeeyjXTuhvlhMNguOZ.jpg
As a side note, he died on the premises of the Belvedere Palace in Vienna, where you can also see Gustav Klimt's "Der Kuss/The Kiss".

Today, I have for you a beautiful history page from 1958, with the great Mario Lanza singing "Vesti La Giubba" from Ruggero Leoncavallo's "Pagliacci".

I don't know if this is the best morning post, but I enjoyed it with my first coffee. Virginia Genovese in Musetta's entrance from Puccini's "La Bohème", two weeks ago, at the Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova. https://v.nostr.build/Co13Ueb6ZZpSZhTgVxJOH1.mp4

One of the most entertaining works for violin is Vittorio Monti's "Csárdás", and I think it's only fair to just post it once in a while. Today, performed by David Garrett. (Milan, 2015)

It's a beautiful Sunday, so Nadine Sierra and Pretty Yende will make it even better with Delibes' "Flower Duet" from Lakmé.

It seems that yesterday started a new wave of spam, this time with replies. I just made one post and suddenly got 89 replies, spread across random posts, not just the last one. 🤦 We'll end up talking by putting messages in zaps.

A good weekend can start just like that, with a coffee and Luciano Pavarotti singing Stefano Donàudy's "O Del Mio Amato Ben", accompanied by Leone Magiera on piano.

Today's goodnight comes with some "news" from André Rieu & The Johann Strauss Orchestra, which, together with Micaëla Oeste, performed the aria “Vilja Lied” in Maastricht, from Franz Lehár’s operetta "The Merry Widow". https://v.nostr.build/sHxPq7LrRY29ELy6kDciqV.mp4

I'm in the mood to go to the opera, so I'm looking for options, even if some are unrealistic to reach right now. Here are a few moments from Ambroise Thomas' "Hamlet" at Opéra Bastille. https://v.nostr.build/yniFnZeSFiPPzUgfUhU5vb.mp4

For a smooth start of the day, I recommend Bach's Arioso (BWV 156/1056), arranged and performed by Jonathan Scott at St. Lambertikirche, Münster, Germany.

I wish you all a good night with Luciano Pavarotti and Luigi Denza's "Funiculì, funiculà".

In Berlin, at Babylon, you can watch old-school movies with a live orchestra. Check the dates and program, and maybe you'll find something to suit you.

My posting is basically a mirror for the weather, tho with a touch of elegance. Today, to reflect Vienna's cold and dark, I begin with Gautier Capuçon playing Joseph Kosma's "Les Feuilles Mortes" (Dead/Fallen Leaves), with pianist Jérôme Ducros.
