Rich people don't buy a car and say hey drive my car and take it to the car to a mechanic when it has issues.
Who cares about the price when you're rich. Why would the car company cut the rich owner off the car? They're the ones paying the bills for the car company.

lol, Ok. Let's work this out. Rich people hiring a driver actually makes my point. They own the car, they employ the driver, and they can fire him and hire another one anytime. They have the leverage. A robotaxi flips that. The company owns the car, sets the price, decides where you can go, and can cut off your account. I'm not against self-driving cars. I'm against having no alternative when the terms change. Renting a ride is fine. Renting your identity, your money, and your data is how you end up with no say in anything.
