This is a surprisingly honest presidential campaign update from the Associated Press. They didn’t normalize *anything* about #Trump, they portrayed him in all of his insane glory.
Maybe it’s because we’re close to Election Day and it’s looking pretty good for #Harris ? Or just too much bizarre Trump stuff to bother normalizing at this point?

I’d go with 54 million votes for #Trump, and > 70 million for #Harris.
Same reasons as you, but I would add that many Republicans probably won’t vote this time around. So whether they prefer Trump or not doesn’t matter. That’s why the polls don’t freak me out.

I have to admit, I kind of like it. If they are restricting access to US IP’s, that sounds like a good thing…?
My only beef would be that their “from your area” reference could have been a bit more helpful for VPN users.
Interesting that the county website would have tighter restrictions than the state website.

I did a quick scan, I think some of what Nate said makes sense. We know how inaccurate the polls are.
The gist of his article seemed to be "who in the hell really knows", and he attributes his gut feeling to democratic nervousness. I guess his goal was to share that nervousness. And get paid to write a click-bait article.

The video clip in that article was excellent. Charlie’s comments towards the end about having to accept the entire “buffet” of policies offered by each party was spot on.
He also made an earlier reference to “muscle memory”, when it comes to pulling the lever for Democrat or Republican. I think that’s how most people vote… they blindly identify with a party and vote accordingly.

They announced the DJT stock sale after hours on a holiday weekend. Followed by a comment from the DJT organization, saying (in so many words) that anyone criticizing this move will be sued.
So nothing sleazy happening here. Definitely not a money grab.

I don’t know about the popular vote, but as we can see, Trump should do really well with the unpopular vote.

Future historians will look back at the 2020’s and wonder how we could have so much information at our disposal, and yet be so violent and clueless.
