> This is not going to be a blogpost about "Why do people still use Reddit instead of everyone moving to Lemmy?". I noticed that even with Mastodon users, who already understand and like the advantages of decentralized platforms, the usage of Lemmy is extremely small, and more people use Reddit. Most of them haven't even heard of Lemmy. To be fair, the Reddit usage also seems to be fairly low.

Their website and F-Droid repo is unreachable now. No update about this on [Mastodon](https://fosstodon.org/@mollyim) and apparently they haven't updated the app in 3 months.
Edit: Some updates from their Matrix channel

Edit2: They [responded](https://github.com/mollyim/mollyim-android/issues/787#issuecomment-4969198591) to the ticket
> Thanks for reporting it. The domain automatic renewal failed because the credit card we used for payment was expired, and OpenCollective didn't issue a new card.

> The domain is still ours, but the DNS services are suspended. We've already paid for the renewal (11 hours after the domain expired). Unfortunately, our registrar, Gandi, seems to need to take a manual action, and they haven't responded to our support requests yet. Today is bank public holiday in France.

> The Fediverse's real strength is participatory structure: any one server can fail and the network keeps running. But it isn't decentralized enough to survive the threats coming for it, including age-verification laws rooted in anti-queer politics, hardware-level lockdown of what you can run on your own computer, and data-centre concentration that turns information infrastructure into a kill switch. The answer is to push further: content-addressed messaging, peer-to-peer chat with no host to subpoena, and technology built around joy and empowerment rather than defensive compliance.
