and how are either of those to be prevented? mass aliyah from the anglosphere. it's not like the situation in the UK/US is getting any better any time soon. Moreover, this is your home, the land of prophecy, the only place on earth where a Jew can reach his true potential. Come.

there's _the work_, and then there are measures of value
if _the work_ is good, there's every reason for it to have different, complimentary kinds of value to different consumers.
- the developer gains experience, pride in their work, reputation, connections
- the consuming team gets to focus on _their_ work, instead of lower-level UI things
- PMs get to see lines go up
all of those are people by the way. when they close their laptops at 5pm, the benefits they gained from a nice DS don't fly out of their bank accounts and into corporate coffers

in my view, a good indicator for a design system team is when their low-level decisions taken according to sensible principles end up having larger positive impacts higher up the stack
you organized your token names and values in a sensible way, it ends up being relatively turnkey to implement dark mode in an entire app

what i mean by emergent is that if Feature A delivers (X,Y), and Feature B delivers (Q,R), by composing them together you get *more than* (X,Y,Q,R)

it's been my experience that people say "component library" when they want to minimize the value of a design system. so let's use their language and see if we can find any relationships between elements:
- color harmonies between tokens (themability)
- congruency of element attributes and token values
- emergent properties when combining tokens => elements => patterns => themes (this is the big one)
So our component library turns out to have quite some scope for complex, emergent expression. It's also been my experience that the majority of people benefit from the centralization of org knowledge in a well-written DS (portability between teams/projects, for example)
So what I'm digging at is: often org needs also help those orgs' people as well.

what's the difference in your view between serving an org and serving people? in other words, what's missing from your typical DS that if it was there, we'd say it serves people?

Bryan Lunduke @npub1jzk…hxs8 is the prototypical Jew - speaking truth to power and refusing to bend the knee to chic, genocidal usurpers cosplaying as leaders
Just like in ancient Persia, his opponents can expect (having set their targets against the Jews) to find wild and inexplicable success, but at the moment of truth - ונהפוך הוא - every single tactic they employed will crash down on their own heads, and their entire movement will fade to dust and disappear

it's notable that when it comes to Jews, you all of a sudden develop an appreciation for philosophical rhetoric.
If someone would tell you that "all lives matter", would you remain aloof?

Your critics are antisemites
Its not any more complicated than that
