It is a devastating and shameful set of circumstances that the police force in Guinea-Bissau, one of the poorest counties in the world, has had to take action to stop a predatory, unethical experiment on infants from being done by Danish scientists who are funded by the US—and Bill Ackman.

Holy cow. The Guinea-Bissau offices of the two Danish researchers who were funded by RFK Jr. to conduct an unethical experiment with the HepB vaccine just had their offices raided and vaccines seized by the police.

I’ve seen a few people commenting today that the idea of separating the MMR vaccine into three separate shots might be a good strategy to get anti-vax parents to vaccinate.
Absolutely not. Here’s why.
First, countering anti-vax misinformation is like playing whack a mole. You bat down one lie…

2026-08-10 19:43:09 UTC

So, Trump wants to make the MMR vaccine into three vaccines?
Let’s see, three separate trips to the pediatrician, three copays, more missed work, and more missed appointments, leaving kids not fully protected from measles, mumps and rubella.
None of it supported by scientific evidence.

2026-08-10 19:25:09 UTC

States have the authority to create and enforce childhood vaccine requirements. The federal government does not.
If this EO were to be executed, it would require 3 times as many trips to the doctor’s office for parents to get their kids vaccinated, further undermining vaccine coverage.

In normal times, the fact that government officials at HHS blatantly lied to the public and got caught would be a scandal of unusual size.
Everyone involved in this disinformation scheme against the people of the United States should be held accountable.

A group of young men burned down an Ebola treatment center in Congo today.
They were angry because their friend had died of the disease and the medical center wouldn’t release the body, which would have been dangerous.
If you are thinking this wouldn’t happen here, you are mistaken.

A college student in Utah didn’t *want* to watch a film about a lesbian.
The student, a “devout Catholic and a political conservative, felt uneasy…and the idea of writing a paper on it made her…uncomfortable”.
Utah passed a law so she and other crybabies can opt out.
Disgraceful.
Utah now allows college studen...

The state of Utah now allows COLLEGE students to opt out of lessons if they make the student feel “uncomfortable” due to their religious beliefs.
Professors are now *required by law* to provide an “alternative assignment” for these closeminded whiners.

“This is a profound revelation,” Prasad wrote in the memo. “For the first time, the U.S. FDA will acknowledge that COVID-19 vaccines have killed American children.”
What the report ACTUALLY said:
“No cases [of pediatric deaths] were classified as certain in relation to COVID-19 vaccination”.

“According to the FDA email from Prasad…they determined 10 children died "after and because of" the COVID vaccine. But Prasad said the true number was likely higher”.
What the report ACTUALLY said:
“No cases [of pediatric deaths] were classified as certain in relation to COVID-19 vaccination”.

About 6 months ago, Marty Makary, Vinay Prasad and Tracy Beth Hoeg falsely claimed that they had data showing that COVID19 vaccines killed 10 children.
The public has never seen those data, and we never will, b/c they have all been booted, as they richly deserve for lying to the people of the US.

A new, well-conducted study reveals that Conservatives “experienced
worsening health and higher mortality than Liberals during the 2010s”.
The authors concluded that this gap is going to get worse, and that public health officials and doctors will continue to struggle to reach conservatives.

Via this mechanism, Republicans will claim victory by stating that they “only” implemented work requirements and that the 400,000 Arizonans who can’t feed their families somehow deserved it.
And it will be the same for Medicaid when work requirements begin to roll out all over the country.

2026-05-11 14:44:15 UTC

As my friend @mirandayaver.bsky.social@bsky.brid.gy has pointed out repeatedly, “work requirements” are actually paperwork requirements.
This massively increases the burden on both SNAP applicants and staff, which in the case of AZ has resulted in almost half of SNAP participants being kicked off.

2026-05-11 13:15:47 UTC

Almost 50% of Arizonans who had SNAP benefits have been kicked off of the program since last summer thanks to Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill”.
This is an excellent article on the cruelty, which of course is the point.
