So in a server someone posted an idea for a pokemon related idea they wanted to see. It reminded me of something I commissioned in the past so I shared it to inspire them. This sent me looking through my files, so now I'm just doing a quick reshare and shout out.

All three are great artist in their own ways. If you're not one for commissioning I say, at least give them a follow and show some support.

@nprofile…gcjp I personally say go for it. The past few post have been good so far. I think I'm one of the few who read the post about these being generated voices, but my thing with AI is that it should be a tool used to supplement skill. Your renders and animations are still top notch, so under these conditions I see no issue with you generating voices.
I am curious what you use for it though 🤔

Also excuse me if I'm a bit short as a of late, May has been extra stressful because of this, which sucks because it was already stressful enough with one of my milestone birthday's this month.

@nprofile…6khh @nprofile…7np5 Yeaaaah 😅 That was actually one of the bigger struggles of doing this as, well, Thomas is actually kind of generic. Like if not drawn in a mimic of Xierra's style there isn't any real detail of him that makes him stand out as. . . Well, him. We actually have a handful of sketches for the process of both Thomas and Joe, and while Joe was always easily Joe, this was the closest we got to Thomas.

Why are they bowling naked? To build up a resistance to stage fright. When you bowl you're at the lane in front of everyone. All eyes on you as you take every step and make every move. That can mess with your head and screw-up your throw. If you can bowl confidently naked you can bowl confidently all the time. Plus bowling shoes suck so if they're caught naked no one will notice they didn't rent shoes.

@nprofile…2ugt Not as hot a take as you think. In DM's I've had some admit that "Yeah, all the fair skinned characters is boring and starts to make it seem incesty because everyone looks aline."
That said, we're talking race, so this could always get needlessly decisive. Hell I even had to be careful with a commission I'm getting because that artist thought it was pushing on racist. I too had that worry, but there does seem to be a clear camp wanting diversity.

2025-01-05 06:40:45 UTC

You know, I was tempted to make some sort of poll to gauge people's opinions on black and brown shotas, but baby raccoon PR advised me not to.
Still an interesting thought though. For most "Shota is Shota", but as someone who often makes darker skinned shotas because I do have a darker skin tone, I do have to wonder if they possess a certain aesthetic compared standard anime inspired shotas.
I'll go first. Be it natural or tan, I do like the visual variety.
