@nprofile…75c7 Hunh! I thought both you and Jason did. Hmmm.. Maybe I heard wrong. Wasn't Claude the "white alligator" during that podcast?

2026-05-10 14:09:55 UTC

@nprofile…75c7 which #Claude Code level did you buy? I'm looking at it but it seems the $20/mo level is too low - or at least that's what a lot of people tell me. $100/mo just seems so expensive!
I just want to use it to help upgrade my own perl and objective-c (yes, I'm THAT person that doesn't like Swift). This is all for personal use.

@nprofile…7z5z Trying to figure out how to download the member feed. I'm an incomparable member and donate my $ to both you and the Mothership, but the only "special" feeds I get options for are below (see images). Any help appreciated. I download you via the link they provide but don't hear your "special" podcasts.

Okay, what is the best Hardware Security Key for someone who just wants to convert all my accounts (google, apple, and any others that support it) to a hwd key? I may want more than one, so does anyone know if you buy multiples, they will all work? And are they compatible with iphone usb port? Cos i know they need power.
I am gonna start investigation now, but if anyone has suggestions I'd be interested. I just can't handle SMS verification or email verification anymore!

Does ANYONE know if #Google #Cloud and #Amazon Cloud are both "down"? #Ecobee is blaming their outage controlling our equipment on Amazon and Google being "down".
I don't think that both cloud services would be down and I don't see it on #Mastodon or affecting any other of my cloud-based home control systems!

@nprofile…fynq So, you were talking about Flock earlier...
What about all those security companies in homeowner's communities all over the country that make me - as a guest - hand over my driver's license and let them scan the QR-ish code on the back? Where does all that data go and how come I can't opt out? I am told if I don't wanna scan my license, I can't enter the property.

@nprofile…wp6z ONE BIG THING I don't see here: Tell students NOT TO ROLL DOWN WINDOWS and/or talk to law enforcement. Students CAN POSSIBLY create "probable cause" to board bus by either giving tacit permission or by saying they want to get off of bus. This does NOT have to be student that law enforcement is "after".
PLEASE tell spouse to have their agency add this to the list!

@nprofile…2ryr If #apple reinstates #TikTok - even though there's a law against it, then their removal of things like #VPN from other countries app stores means nothing. It means it was convenience - that Apple WANTED to deprive users in those countries of safe, private surfing.
The *SECOND* Apple puts #TikTok back up without a change in the actual law, I'm crying foul & won't trust them to abide by laws in the future.
It doesn't matter that it may be a law unpopular law. It's still a law.

2025-01-19 19:05:15 UTC

I don't quote Tom Cotton often (at ALL), but what he says on this is true...so I don't see how #Trump thinks he will do what he says re: #TikTok.
"Now that the law has taken effect, there's no legal basis for any kind of 'extension' of its effective date. For TikTok to come back online in the future, #ByteDance must agree to a sale that satisfies the law's qualified-divestiture requirements by severing all ties between TikTok and Communist China."

Plz boost cos I don't wanna fry anything: Okay, #ethernet peeps:: If I have a #POE++ adapter & I add it IN FRONT OF my switch (#TPLink TL-SG108-M2), will it pass through the POE++ power to each port on switch?
I was hoping I could simply put poe++ power INTO the #switch instead of between the ETH port on the switch & the wifi base station I'm trying to power.
POE++ power adapter can provide far more power than base station requires, so would be nice to utilize on other devices.
