Also @npub1p8u…6yqz almost certainly had some suggestions here.

you do not need a specialized distro. I'm running arch now, but have run stock Ubuntu all the way through to customized audio distros. I like arch because it's rolling release, but it's not for everyone.
I really Reaper, but I doubt that's a smooth transition from Ableton. Give Bitwig a shot. People who like it really like it.

Pizza is supposed to be cheap and convenient. When your "no substitutions" pepperoni pizza starts at $25 you can get all the way fucked.

I always refer back to this quote.
“I have given this offer more consideration than it is due already. Now, fuck off. Then keep fucking off. Fuck off until you come up to a gate with a sign saying ‘You Can’t Fuck Off Past Here.’ Climb over the gate, dream the impossible dream, and keep fucking off forever.”

For #writers working outside the house to get #writing done, where do you go? Looking for options
With a new job starting soon I have a very short amount of unlimited freedom to #write but am struggling to do so at home. Considering using the next little bit to try out various options. A part of me is tempted just to rent a desk at a shared co-work space, but I'm going to be jammed into an office three days a week soon enough. I'm going to avoid it, if I can.
I'm thinking of the usual things like libraries, cafes, restaurants, and maybe some outdoor possibilities. I'm looking for options. I may just spend the next little while trying something different each day.

"Three sentences divided by one million pixels yields an image that has an average intentionality that's so low that it's practically homeopathic." - @npub1fdr…lvhs
I will now refer to genAI art as art adjacent homeopathy.

"AI is the asbestos we're shoveling into the walls of our high-tech society"
This resonates deeply within my soul.
