Do let us know how you get on with it. I'm so tempted to get it to try out. I really want it but I also want to know how it daily drives. :neofox_phone:
_I'm also concerned how it works on T-Mobile in the US as I haven't seen anything about which areas and providers it able to be used with._

While I cannot vouch for it as I have not tried it. I came across this one recently which looks interesting. I too wish there were high end mainstream options for a GNOME phone. I'm so ready but apparently the market is not 🥲

Not judging anyone but I just don’t see how anyone is joining bluesky or threads. After watching facebook, instagram, or twitter I really don’t see the appeal. Why go back to basically the exact same thing you got burned on and will almost certainly have the same outcome?
I scrolled the public timelines a bit and it felt like the same not great experience I left forever ago.
Mastodon certainly isn’t perfect but at least it doesn’t feel like another corpo “social media” ads and clout network.🤷

if the test was for me to boot up my PS5 for the first time in forever, see if I even had Destiny 2 there, realize I last played it on steam, sign into my steam, see that I could link my steam destiny stuff across platforms, link that stuff, then realize my destiny 2 on ps5 hadn’t been updated in so long it’s unplayable, and now sit around waiting for that update to finish… then test successful I guess :steam_controller: :dualsense: :neofox_laugh_sweat:

I've been experimenting with self-hosting everything, de-googling my life, and the balance of privacy/security vs. convenience. I wanted to travel the spectrum from an extreme "digital hermit" to something you might actually be able to convince a non-techy person to use.
I'm finding that you can get pretty far while protecting and respecting yourself, and I think there are some pretty easy (at least to me) changes that can be made without it being very disruptive.

I hate how I can't hold my phone without a fucking pop-socket or something and even then it hurts my fingers to do so! There are no modern small android phones that are comfortable to hold and use. If I could use certain apps like Signal, Telegram, some sort of maps, and mastodon on a "dumber" phone. I think I would try it at this point.

Mostly #GNOME looks absolutely fantastic these days and I miss it, BUT I've gotten too used to all day (or multiple days) battery while also being able to crank some power when I need it. I don't think I can give that up again.

I think I'm asking for a niche inside a niche group of people, but does anyone here on the Fediverse have any experience with both a @npub15f7…m7wr and a M# pro/max macbook pro? I'm curious how battery life and performance compare. I really love the battery life and performance on my MacBook but I really want a good Linux laptop. Also open to other suggestions for Linux laptops if they compare pretty well, the framework has just looked the most interesting to me.
