Brilliant news for free speech - and for women. 🎉
Scope has publicly apologised for cancelling my choir’s London Marathon performance over my gender-critical views, acknowledging its decision was wrong.
Our legal dispute is now resolved. No apology can undo the upset caused,

Apologising in 2026 - demonstrated beautifully by Amnesty International UK.
- Public apology for publishing a flawed report (left).
- Private apology to activists for issuing the public apology (right).

What are children being taught about sex and gender in primary schools?
Over the last few weeks I've been investigating this for @npub1y74…r3t8 speaking to parents, governors and teachers - and looking at lesson plans, book lists and training materials.
Today's investigation looks at a new report from @npub1ldq…yzjt identifying more than 60 children's books promoting ideas such as being "born in the wrong body".
It also examines the continuing influence of the No Outsiders programme, founded by Andrew Moffat.
The programme aims to teach children about the characteristics protected by the Equality Act, including race, religion and sexual orientation.
Some will remember the protests over No Outsiders in Birmingham in 2019 - specifically around LGBTQ+ materials aimed at young children. But the programme hasn't gone away. Between 2020 and 2023, No Outsiders reached almost 30,000 children and trained more than 9,000 teachers across hundreds of schools.
The parents I spoke to believe schools should encourage kindness and tolerance, but question why primary-aged children need lessons about gender identities or the idea of being "born in the wrong body". These are conversations they feel should be led by parents - not schools or external training providers.
Andrew Moffat and the Excelsior Multi Academy Trust - an eight-school academy trust which appears to employ him to deliver No Outsiders training - were approached multiple times for comment but did not respond.

This was shared in response to my post about NHS ambulance trusts and their gender identity policies.
I think it helps explain the institutional culture that made it possible for an NHS ambulance trust to produce policies that effectively ignore women as a sex class.
This isn’t about an individual.
It’s about an organisation that saw no contradiction in using International Women’s Day to celebrate a male staff member - under the banner of Women in Paramedicine.
And once institutions stop distinguishing between sex and gender identity, policies that undermine women’s sex-based rights inevitably follow. That’s the real story.

Insufferable, self-absorbed person explains “allyship”.
Apparently the ‘ally’ label is something for her - and her alone - to decide that you are.
(Tip: leave “intersex” off your Progress Pride flag at your peril.)
Apparently, though, buying trans and non-binary people a pint or contributing to a GoFundMe counts too.
Because nothing says “social justice” quite like ticking off a list of approved gestures.

I've been sitting on the evidence for this Girlguiding story since March.
Even then, it took months to persuade a mainstream publication to cover this aspect of the investigation.
For an independent journalist, pursuing a story like this without the backing of a national newspaper's legal team carries obvious risks. But I persisted because I believe there is a strong public interest in asking whether organisations entrusted with the care of girls are putting safeguarding first.
This investigation involved months of conversations, verification and painstaking work. Unsurprisingly, some people have suggested that concerns about these issues are exaggerated. That is why I'm sharing some of the publicly available material I found online.
To be absolutely clear, there is no suggestion that this individual has done anything wrong.
Indeed one could argue he has also been failed by a system that affirmed and accepted him as a Girlguiding leader and later appointed him to a 16-person advisory committee - apparently without sufficient scrutiny of his suitability for the role.
The greater failure, however, was towards the girls and women who should never have been expected to accept males in a single-sex organisation.
I hope this story helps explain why many women believe this debate has never simply been about being "kind". It is about safeguarding, boundaries and whose interests are prioritised.
I'm grateful to everyone who helped bring this story to light, including women who spoke to me privately and helped with research. And @npub1m4u…9gq2 who reminded me how important it was to tell this story.
And I do think we should ask why it was so difficult to secure national coverage of a story that many people would regard as being firmly in the public interest.

This is fantastic news.
But it's worth remembering that £187,000 split between seven nurses does not come close to compensating them for what they have been through.
These were women who simply wanted to get changed at work - without a man being present.
Yet they were treated as the problem. Not the man insisting on access to the women's changing room.
Perhaps it resonates with me more right now, because I am currently pursuing my own legal case. After my choir was dropped from the London Marathon - on account of my gender-critical views.
While it is a personal matter, I know it will, almost certainly, continue to affect me professionally - for years to come.
And there is no apology - and no amount of money - that can fully compensate for the damage caused by these cases.
Being shunned by colleagues, friends or even family members. Watching opportunities disappear. Sensing even people who agree are wary of you - simply because you spoke up and they didn't.
Because people who challenge the status quo are often both respected and feared.
What I find especially troubling is the amount of public money spent trying to prove these women were wrong.
More than £600,000 was reportedly spent defending a policy that a tribunal ultimately found to be discriminatory.
How much easier would it have been to tell ONE man that, regardless of how he identified, women's changing facilities are for women?
These nurses should never have had to fight this battle in the first place.
