The best tortillas are the ones you cook from scratch.
But to cook a great tortilla, you’ll need a great tortilla press.
This is the best one I’ve found.

Alby users made 1,019,040 Lightning payments in August, a big all-time high and Alby's first month over 1 million Lightning payments.
For comparison, Wallet of Satoshi users make 600k-700k Lightning payments each month.

Twitter's rate-limiting in early July almost doubled Nostr's daily active users in a couple of days.
Usage has pulled back since then, but seems to have stabilized at over 10,000 daily active users.
That's up 25% from the baseline in May and June.

will keep a close eye on this moving forward.
podcast listeners are sending me 100k-300k sats/month, nostr zaps are probably at 5-10% of that today… but i don’t have enough data to be sure about the nostr amounts yet, could end up being much higher or lower over time.

2023-02-24 13:44:00 UTC

Nostr without Bitcoin would probably have to remain a small hobbyist project forever.
Nostr with Bitcoin can change the shape of how all publishing works on the internet.

right now most podcasters call them boosts if they are one-time payments, streams if they are recurring payments, and boostagrams if the payments come with messages attached to them.

I hear you, and there is a big difference between paying prior to consumption and paying after consumption.
However, these are all still Lightning payments attached to content and we have a handful of words that refer to the same actions.
Do you believe that converging on one term is important? Or is it ok that we use one word for podcasts, one for nostr, etc?

2023-02-17 16:55:04 UTC

All of the terms below are used by various apps and protocols to denote Lightning payments for content.
Which do you like best?
- Boosts
- Donations
- Tips
- Zaps
