#Fascism and #Fascists use the same tools & #playbook every time.

#AI is designed to deliver a 'plausible looking' response.
Thats the thing.
Making up 'plausible' stuff that is completely wrong is perfectly within scope.
#AI is a 'plausible response' generator. Its not a search engine. Details like 2+2 ALWAYS =4 are not even really a thing, per se.

This is possibly the best thing I have ever read about successful cooperative human interactions broadly...
This has a lovely specificity around "Jenga" ( ..and flirting..)
But it is positively brilliant.
Really.
Every 7th grader should see this. And... for the neurodivergent this could be life changing.

I feel like you are doing work that will be a resource for the #Tribunals that follow..
...in my fantasy future at least.
but seriously, I dont see anyone doing what you are doing here.. collecting, amalgamating, recording...
Cheers..

What I have NOT read much about is the actual couple that got married in the middle of all of that. I am old and crabby, but that was pretty cool.

Not a 'gun guy' here, but I do have some old hunting rifles, ammo, etc.
This has me feeling like I need to upgrade.
Significantly.

I almost think that this what some of the brighter folks (Miller, Vance?) in the #Fascist #TrumpRegime are hoping for.
Seems like its only a matter of time until we see these #idiots kick in the wrong door - and a well-armed occupant takes out a few of them. t\The resulting carnage would be all they need to invoke the #InsurrectionAct.
Full scale military deployment of US troops to "quell the violent uprising".
AKA - Full on #Fascist #Totalitarianism

I have arrived at a moment in life, Where I am surrounded by s*** I thought I needed at some point for some reason... Now it is a burden. Getting rid of certain things is actually quite a bit of work.
I will say I don't have the Spendy things some people accumulate... But certainly as you move from middle years to senior years my advice is to practice austerity...

#Billionaires should be #taxed out of existence..
And the weird thing is they would still be super rich - AND - dumping all that tax money back into the economy would generate even more revenue for the super wealthy that own all the s*** we rely on...
It would juice the economy like a 2 or 3% fed rate cut..
Then they would be taxed again... more money dumped into the economy, they get rich again... It is a virtuous cycle.

Absolutely, 100% spot on. Somehow, they miss the WHOLE point.
Sci-Fi - for me at least - IMHO only - is a platform for exploring the age old questions: Why am I here? What is humanity? WHY is humanity? What is love, faith, compassion. etc.? What is the point? Who are we? Why do we think that?
You know - Philosophy 101 - but packaged in new and interesting settings that combine 'strange new worlds' with the same old problems of racism, zenophobia, war, etc..

Thank you.
I am reminded that the #Nazis sent a guy to the US south to learn about Jim Crow laws & and how to 'legally' repress and dehumanize citizens. They used those ideas to start their own 'legal' genocide.
We taught the Nazis how to do that shit.
Don't think for one fucking second that these evil 21st century #Fascists won't do everything they say they will.
So yes, good on you for recording the fall of #democracy in the #US

#SCOTUS should be much larger. The case for 27 seats is rational, but it should certainly be larger than nine.

Most liberals see voting as a hiring decision - a mostly rational decision based on credentials, experience, and qualifications. The religious fundamentalist sees it as their duty in the on-going religious war.
Christian conservatives are well-organized, well-financed, diligent, and relentless.
They are also thoroughly conditioned to do as they are told, not ask questions, and fear opinions contrary to those of their leaders. As a result they make decisions based on ideology not reason.
