one reason china does this, is to prepare for war because its only buying coal and fossel fuels from other countries. I am unsure if they really care about the earth or climate at all, especially after building the biggest dam which disrupts the earths rotation by a bit without rethinking or caring about this topic.

without astralreprojection, the home is very very jittery/stuttery. I don't know how to describe it (and almost forgot how it looked like, but the difference was clear in Home from SteamVR)
With enabled, things become as smooth as on Windows. Experienced it in Home, Beat Saber (Kind of), Bonelabs and Ancient Dungeon VR.
Games like Half life Alyx and DeepStates [VR] seem to have a too low FPS which makes it very jittery. Seems like Proton isn't that well for these games. Deepstates [VR] has like 150FPs on Windows 10 LTS and on Linux it has like 45 to 55 FPS.
I remember someone on reddit mentioning that the Hz of the VR should be set to 60 or smth, so low FPS isn't noticable. I think it was about SteamVR switching the Hz down and up to adjust to the FPS, which looks like more lag because it bounces a lot.

Nice that I found your post. I had a very similar experience a week ago and was shocked that SteamVR did work (When enabling astralProjection in the xml settings).
Monado was smooth but I am confused how to create Virtual Walls to not walk into a wall.
Bonelabs was for me very smooth, but Half life Alyx wasn't. Its a huge difference when Asynchronous reprojection is enabled.
