Dear #MusicProduction lovers!
As you may know already, #FOSDEM opened their call for devrooms. Of course, after the success of last year, I'd love to have our devroom again, but there's a problem... I won't be at FOSDEM this year for family reason, and @npub1727…5dgd may not either 😥
Is there anyone willing to take the baton this year and help organize it, especially in Brussels on the day? I can take care of everything, except the actual day there.
Please let me know, boosts welcome! 🙏

Dear Fediverse, I recently acquired a second-hand #guitar that I had "love at first sight" for as soon as I saw it online. It really is lovely to play, but I know very little about it, though, except that it's from a now defunct brand called #Dreambow. I can't find any other name or serial. Do you know what model it might be, and/or year? It definitely is a single cut, but it's not a Les Paul replica as you can see in the picture. Please help me boost this until it reaches someone who knows 😅

ah, I hadn't thought of that possibility, thanks for the clarification!

mh for some reason I can't seem to find Rya's account on mastodon.art from the @npub1j7t…kn6q search box, and if I try to follow from their mastodon.art page by putting my username in, Fosstodon complains with a not found... anyone knows what may be wrong?

Really proud to have been added to the latest [@mixtape](https://nham.co.uk ) mixtape with "Rejection", one of the tracks from my "R U There?" album. Especially since I am in such good company!
Special mentions to @npub17d3…9kdy and @rya@mastodon.art: I knew "Seventeen Carrots" already and loved it, but "Juliregn" was a true revelation...

Woah, it's both #BandCampFriday *and* #FairTradeMusicFriday today! Why not spend a couple of minutes on my Bandcamp page and see if anything sparks your interest? I released a new song in collaboration with @npub1a8j…7sqx just a few days ago, and the whole discography can be grabbed for as little as 15€ 💰
Or just listen to a random song and let me know what you think of it: we may not be living of/for music, but it's always nice to find out someone liked what you created! 🙏🏻

Fosstodon has been my home for quite some time, and the place that made me love Mastodon, so even if it may not matter much, please do know that someone here in the South of Italy greatly appreciated what you gave us all, and will forever be grateful you welcomed us in your home. Thanks for being such great hosts!

I learnt the meaning of that acronym: using the TIL acronym to say I learnt a new acronym was a bit of a silly (and probably too obscure) pun 🙂

PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair (to let people know you were the cause of whatever problem was happening)
Something new I learnt just a few minutes ago!

Considering the Windows editor for my #DNAfx GiT Core won't run on neither Wine nor any VM, I've spent the past few days trying to reverse engineer its USB protocol, in order to write a basic editor for Linux of my own. It's been interesting so far to play with #libusb (I can already kinda talk to the device), especially coming from the perspective of a network developer, but I have some doubts on how #USB communication works in general: is there anyone around here that can clarify a few points?

Dear #cat lovers fediverse,
what automatic food dispenser would you suggest, for those times I have to be away from home a couple of days or more? So far I've had my parents help with that any time I leave for a conference, but I feel it's unfair to treat them as "cat-sitters" all the time.
The ones I found all seem "connected", meaning they rely on some cloud service to work. That's something I'd rather avoid. Building my own thing is a no-go either, I'm lazy 😁
Any tips? Thanks!
