Earlier is definitely better. Young kids don't need much in the way of resources to properly learn. As they get older, having access to things like real science labs, computer labs (for those who don't have a mini data center at home like me), athletic coaches, shop classes, etc. is a real advantage.
My folks didn't home school but I went to small private schools (all we could afford) up until High School, then went public for this exact reason. I think homeschooling would be similiar.

We have historic evidence of what happens when a country with nukes uses them against a country without them on large population centers….war over. And the rationale for doing so was that the country without nukes would fight to the last man…they even had their own version of suicide bombers.
All that being said your last sentence is the real key. Negotiate a deal with China such that it’s not worth it to support them...Iran collapses. If it’s just business, address the business motivations.

That only works when the other side has nukes. In this case they don’t.

That was one that kicked my butt...both of them. I got dizzy and had chills...and got 2 or 3 pox. But it resolved quickly. Just plan them out so you’re not sure busy.
Mother and grandmother both got shingles…it S U C K S. The effects are worth it if you avoid getting full blown Shingles.
The only other one that got me was Yellow Fever (was traveling) but it wasn’t bad compared to Shingrex.

You are free to believe he’s lying about why he got banned…but given the time it is perfectly reasonable to believe the story that he was banned because he wouldn’t censor legal speech in the US. It was all the rage on most platforms back then. Heck, he’s shown letters from governments demanding he give over info and ban accounts for legal speech in the US and he’s told them to pack sand. Maybe he faked all that too, but it seems believable given the laws those governments have enacted so he gets the benefit of the doubt from me.
Like I said, I don’t care for the guy personally and don’t want to live in a place where he would get to set real world (as opposed to online) policies. But I give him credit for trying to build parallel infrastructure and ecosystems that do serve people who think like him and where you don’t get banned for merely expressing ideas. To me, that matters and the world is better for it. Yes, the social tides have shifted towards sanity in the US recently but they could just as easily swing back the other way.

Yes. This is how it should work. Customers pay for a service. Once a part of that revenue goes to an owner it’s not your money anymore. It’s the owners.
People who think otherwise would be aghast if their employer applied their own logic to them and fired them for their political donations.

yeah, I’ve been thinking about setting up Lemmy or kbin…but I wonder if they are just ghost towns ala PeerTube. And if they won’t federate with something as big as Pleroma, I’m not interested in putting in the effort.
As much as we say Fediverse, the reality is it’s really about Mastodon and the variants. I do like that WriteFreely integrates pretty well so I have 2 blogs there. Pixelfed may be decent, but as I have no use for Instagram I’ve left it alone. The rest seem to be just a few enthusiasts for that app. Kind of like Nostr. I love the idea and set up a Ditto instance, but damn, unless you want to talk BitCoin and Nostr, there’s not much else happening over there.

I don’t take any entertainer’s political opinions seriously, regardless of what side they are on or whether I agree with them or not. That’s not where I go for such opinions.

Due to the run up over the past 2 days and my work schedule today, I closed mu calendars for just above break even (made around $9). If I didn't have several in person meetings today I would have waited it out. But my intention is to re-enter this trade later today.

And how well has everyone using the same money worked out so far. It's great in theory, but doesn't really work in the real world.
How many people in the world even know that there are forks of BTC? I'd bet less than 1%. Good luck getting them to standardize on it.
It's your money, throw it where you like. But betting the farm on any crypto, yet alone an alt coin is quite a spec bet.
My point behind it being the problem is that there isn't anything that BCH can do that any other crypto can't do. The barrier to entry on making new cryptos is way to low therefore, it's going to be tough to sell people on the value of any given one. If anyone can make one, it's not that valuable.

The fundamental problem here is no one is defining their terms. Until you can agree on what far-lleft actually means, there is no basis for a rational discussion.

It depends on what you use. Acids in a marinade can tenderize it. Oils are the infusers.
Pounding it can also help.

Broadcast sports is on a path of pure pay per view packages. There are too many events spread across too many platforms all of whom want a subscription fee. That’s not a long term solution.

At the end of the day, the shoe was cancelled because the budget was $180M (plus promotion I’m sure) and it got lousy ratings. It turned out to be a money pit. And. I matter how woke the folks are at Disney, they can’t keep losing that kind of money.

I may regret this but I just closed the flies for a 17% loss. This month has been really messy and I need stuff to calm down. Now watch, we'll recover and I'll kick myself but risk management says I have to let this one go. Pets vs Cattle!
