#WritersCoffeeClub 7/14 How do you escape your comfort zone, writing-wise?
Well, it's a little embarrassing, but sometimes when I want the writing to be a bit bolder, I type the first draft naked.
It works great right up until the barista tells me to leave before she calls the cops.

@nprofile…nzcd Thanks for clarifying. Like I said, I wasn't doing any hard research, just musing through conversion rates to keep myself occupied on my morning jog 😅
I'm a little disappointed to learn that a mile is actually 1609 meters. Now all my running figures are off!

#WritersCoffeeClub 3/4 Share a recent experience where something just 'clicked'.
I've made some good strides revising my WIP and am finding great bits to salvage from the first draft, but not so many 'click' moments lately.
I did have a fun revelation while jogging last weekend where I realized that people probably based the mile off of kilometers. To me, it makes no sense that someone said "ooh! We're going to take 5,512 arbitrary feet and call it a mile" when 1600 meters fits perfectly into a mile. I imagine they measured out the meters and started calling that a mile first and then figured how many feet that worked out to be.
I haven't checked that. It could be wrong.

#WordWeavers 2/7 What's the most rewarding thing about writing?
Being able to reach people I may never actually meet and getting to share a small bit of my mind and soul with them. I'm particularly hopeful that my future grandkids and predecessors might read my books after I'm gone and feel a small touch of connection with me.

@nprofile…d9m7 Just so long as you don’t mind a shoulder rub with oven mitts. I don’t multitask gracefully ;)

#WritersCoffeeClub 11/14 What service/skill could you offer other writers?
I’ll give you guys a choice between a shoulder rub or a fresh batch of brownies. How does that sound?
Oh, or I could set you up with a place in PR for a tropical writing retreat. But at that point I’d be asking you for a shoulder rub.

#WritersCoffeeClub 6/20: Solstice. What's the most you've ever written in a single session? What made that possible?
I'm usually lucky if I can get to 1K words in a single session.
A few times I remember pounding out betweeen 3-4K words in one sitting. The happened because
1) I was writing a shorter piece, so I was eager to finish it.
2) I was feverishly passionate about whatever half-baked idea I had in my head.
3) I had the house to myself for the whole day.

@nprofile…k80g I can consistently juggle five balls, but only 3-4 clubs. I used to perform with a group of three other jugglers and we did juggle some fun patterns together.
Things I've juggled:
-fruit
-eggs
-flaming torches
-knives
-rings
-basketballs
-violins
-shoes
-car keys
-hats
-flaming balls (with gloves)
-water balloons
-rubber chickens
Just the standard arsenal really...
